It is like labeling all Black people as ni**ers or all white people as Blue Collar criminals. You can't label the whole because of the actions of the few. I completely agree. I have had very few negative experiences with cops. For the most part, I have found police officers to be pretty easy-going dudes, who won't give you a hard time if you're not mouthing off and basically being a smart-c*nt. I agree aswell. Some are just pricks who will do anything to bust you. Others just like to scare the sh*t our of people. And others actually want to help? hmm? maybe? That is how things are these days......the internet changes everything. It makes not one bit of sense and the things people say online flabergast me on a regular basis and half the time they frighten me with their imputenance. Maybe he just wants to see a photo of you and your fellow officers together in a group photo. Figuring out when it is time to switch sides if and when something breaks out would be something I would heartily consider and ask for the consideration of by any of the law enforcrement people that I personally know. It isn't an ultimatuim or anything like that but a concern. I mean, where do you personally draw the line?.......and don't give me that whatever the law says or dictates is where you draw the line because their is a historical perspective of when the law becomes too heavy for the public and continually hedging control until the morale and anger of the public casts off the oppression. Sure, people are sheeple and they will tolerate all sorts of things way past the point of being in their or the rest of societies best interest except for the very elite few who know no end to their need for the feeling of power through the means of disempowering others instead of empowering them. So, where is your line? Don't take it personal and there is more than on officer here on the GTAForums and this applies to them as well.......just as it applies to the rest of the public. I like you Swarz amd frp, tje right off I feel that you would getted miffed and side with the public when the "Iron Curtain Mentality" and "Iron Fist Over Velvet Glove Methodology" sets in...... yet am I correct? Can anyone say until faced with it? Is it not better to discuss and converse about the direction before we find ourselves in the middle of sensibilities vs insensibilities. Call it scripting, if yoiu so choose, it is better, in my opion, to have thought it out and have a report with others on the issue before we find ourselves in the situation of two immediate and direct lines of confrontation. Surely there is a heart of civility within the machine of the blue line that quietly speaks to many of those within it. Yet is it strong enough to resist or thwart the sound of marching feet and direct orders that reflect the other horrors past in so many nations? I am truly curious and interested about responses to such things. For the local areas of my own nation....... I remember a radio broadcast where several law enforcement agents from different types of departments got together for golf and lunch weekly. When discussing what they would do if things got really bad and the public disarming came up the questions and replys turnered toward what would each do if public disarming actually ensued in the area. The local police department, the FBI and the sheriff all agreed that ehy would be forced to comply with the public and side with them on the issue. The ATF agent was excited and said he would be all for it. The Sheriff told him to come to his house first so he wouldn't need ot visit anyone else's home. That is important to KEEPING THE PEACE! But.....then again, you are not acclimated to the idea of a people being considereid within their rights to bear arms....or are you? I mean, if you are comfortable with putting others in their place and in the belief that only the few should ever be allowed weapons and that the majority should inherently trust those few. Then you must also feel obligated to agree with what the majority large number reporting from the populace of such places state. That which I prefer instead of the sentiment that it is one's duty to make things as difficult for the police as possible within the bounds of the law to each citzen's personal ability. No? ----------------------------------------------------- I hope no one is offended by my position here because I seek no aurguement or offenses. Yet I am not going to look the other way when something wicked this way comes, regardless of its source. ----------------------------------------- On topic........ Control is more illusion than fact in most situations. The only power others have over you is the power you allow them to have. Someone can kill you but they can not force you to give in without your own compliance. Someone can abuse you, yes. Someone can cause you all manner of physical harm and damages, yes. Someon e can even find ways to be manipulative, from chemical, social, media and others including rorture, yes. The real victory is not in any of thes arenas even when these are used to get where the raal potence is. The giving of one's will to another is not something that should be taken lightly by the giver.........because the takers are rarely but for termprarily satisfied and they hunger for more. I remind them that I think of them as citizens first as well and that I consider them no better or worse than the next person lest they give me reason to feel otherwise. I have met good and evil people from all walks of life and it seems not to be profession based although their means of expressing themselves soemtimes are and that is where their is trouble from anyone who is one to bring trouble forward. You reap what you sow, affter all. Be it contempt, suspicion, hatred, descent and avarice or love, acceptance, communication and enlightenment; these things are all of the human nature to have at one time or another and if you cast it out then it comes back to you abundantly. Randall Flagg Posted February 18, 2009 Share Posted February 18, 2009 Some dude was talking to himself and I could hear it through the vents into my cell, talking about radiation guns and military installations, so I talked back like smeagol through the vents. He started laughing. Then I started making other random noises and yelling "shut the f*ck up" alot. Guards told us to be quiet. I read the monkey wrench gang and slept alot.
