I have had very few negative experiences with cops. For the most part, I have found police officers to be pretty easy-going dudes, who won't give you a hard time if you're not mouthing off and basically being a smart-c*nt. And that said, I've recently been informed that I am a "big giant pussy" because of some supposed abuses of power girish and I just don't have the ability to ban people, or abuse perform our duties beyond our respective corners of GTAF. Since I'm sure ILAK was talking about real cops and not forum moderators...consider this story from a place none too far from where I grew up... All i ever really see of the police is those crappy TV documentaries about them and i see there doing a good job, but of course those shows are kinda biased towards making them looking good. The get overpaid to sit in their cars and walk the streets, then they randomly beat people. It's sick, there is not one exception to this rule, all cops are control freaks with bad tempers. playa Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Because they work a high stress, high pressure and very dangerous job. on top of that, 90% of the people they come in contact with hate the police and do any thing in there power to make the police's job harder. further more, with all the exaggerated media coverage of the “increase in crime” which seem to be plaguing a lot countries these days, PD’s are under more pressure to get more and more police out on the streets, which may mean some police officer who aren’t mentally up to the job are slipping threw the cracks and are going out and slapping a few minority about when situation get the better of them. Anyway Like Iminicus Said it only take one cop to abuse his power and all the rest suffer because of it. Usually at the hands of the rating’s hungry media. The worst times were when I was pulled over for follwing behind one too closely (bullsh*t) and another time I was speeding and he claimed I was going 5mph more than I know I was. As for the ones that do... hard to say why. Some times you can get caught up in being the authority and forget about human decency and fairness I guess. He's a stripper who wears a cop uniform when he performs. "I gotta call about a domestic disturbance..." Techno music starts playing etc. etc. lol Anyway I got no problem with the average cop.
