snowcloud
If you haven't tried this yet, I got a slight GPU performance boost simply by forcing the game into windowed mode. I have noticed this happening with other games too, including Saints Row 2. Just add '-windowed' after the target in the desktop shortcut. Without Quotes. My Specs: C2D E8400 2GB DDR2 500GB HD NForce 9600GT 1GB In Full Screen I could just about play in 1186x at 20-40fps depending on weather. Now I can run in 1280x800 (Another bonus is widescreen for 4:3 monitors) and it only drops below 25fps during action in the rain. Hope this helps the ongoing struggle for FPS!! ron123
Oh really, you see when you choose lower resolution (then the native full screen) then you get less image and more performance, you can play on lower resolutions on a half screen with "full screen" option turned off, the point is that it is not the same as a full screen, you can cut it as much as you want, this way you just loss the image quality (bigger images is better), and the performance won't be that greater because they depend more on the textures quality then on the resolution. emcax24
i played it in 800x600 down from my native 1280x1024 the gain in fps is negligible. i doubt windowed mode will do much. but ill give it a whirl.
