It's a damn shame that such a good concept (GTA IV Multiplayer) is ruined by these lame, attention defecit disorder suffering assclowns. Take a minute and set the damn settings right. Turn the f*cking auto aim off you little bitches. And what the f*ck is with the BLIPS????? Blips belongs set on NONE. These people need to get the red rings of death for ruining such a great game. Now, before you say "host your own game", I do, and the people who join my games are lucky to find a host that actually takes the time to set the game up right. But not many people are online, and it's these lame f*ckjobs faults. Anywayz, for the funnest possible online experience, I put it on "Mafiya Work, open the whole city, turn the gay auto aim off, put the weapons on "POWERFUL", turn the retarded blips to NONE, reticule health OFF, player name display OFF, and voice chat to PROXIMITY. LOL Are you the authority or what? If you don't like how the others host their own game, host yours and you can put everything how you like. Blips off, AA off, reticule health off. Have fun! If you don't like, well you can do one of two things: host your own game how you like or come to the forum to post that stupidity. Which one do you prefer? I understand about Auto Aim off but it's GTA not Call of duty some people wanna be able to see their enemies I mean choosing just one map to play on is huge no blips would make it even more difficult especially for new comers. And don't you think no blips and the entire city would be a little much? Overkilled for sure. Also if you have such a problem with people not wanting to play "realistically" gather up your own friends and play as a party. I just think it's pretty stupid from your part to come here and post that, like you are the almighty and if things are not how you like, then everyone else is a lame player that ruins the game. That makes no sense... you want things your way, host your own lobby and invite your friends to play with you. The options are there, so the host can set them how he wants. You don't like, you leave, as simple as that. When I don't like the settings of a game mode, I quit and find another or host my own. Btw, sometimes the realistic stuff is not fun. Imagine free-roam without blips or gamertags, and the entire city open. It's pretty much boring, you don't know where the others are, they don't say where they are, you're alone in the city, without peds, cops... what's the point? In DM and similar, I agree that blips ruin the experience. Knowing that a player is there... man, no fun. When there are no blips, I pretty much enjoy it, though it's a lot harder lol. As both a GTA IV and Rainbow 6 Vegas player, I have BOTH games RUINED by ass backward f*ckheads. In Rainbow 6, these empty heads actually BAN the GPS. Then they turn around and turn the blips on in GTA IV. Do you simpletons not see the error in logic in this???? Gee, in one game(R6V), I'm playing as a futuristic soldier with access to the most techniogically advanced weapons in the world, and these bozos turn off the GPS device which scans the area for body heat and temporarily gives away enemy positions. Then in the other game (GTA IV) I'm playing as some low level hood who is lucky if he has the newest cell phone, yet these dipsh*ts set it to where I can somehow magically see my opponents EXACT LOCATION AT ALL TIMES. OK, I will explain the logic behind my settings. I turn the weapons on POWERFUL so that it takes a whole lot less bullets to kill someone (more realistic)...I turn the reticule health off because again, there is no such thing as reticule health, you dont see someone's health meter when you're shooting them for real...I turn the player display name OFF because it clutters up the screen to have it on...I open the whole city because why would i not want to enjoy the entire city Rockstar built for me? I put the voice chat on PROXIMITY because it's realistic, you can hear people when they are close to you, and also it gives people a reason to use the in game cell phone to call each other to taunt or talk or whatever... Touge Union Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Well Trideez, arn't all these 'suggestions' you posted just showing your player style, this is how you like to play GTAIV online, you obviously go for the realism of a match, which i agree is awesome, but you've got to aknowlage that other people have their own personal preferences to how they play, its like when some people DM in freemode and some people just you know...chill. I just wished people could name games online, so you could have 'Trideez's hardcore DM' and somebody else could have 'crap players only' or whatever. Everybody could have a better time then, because they are going where they wanna go. Be lucky to get one kill per hour-- I can see it done in a small area-- but forget about doing it in a large area. While yes it is more realistic, it is also more boring. Now playing car jack city or mafiya work with those settings is a blast (I've played it this way)-- as everyone will converge on the objectives and not knowing where anyone is, or sneaking up on them is great-- it is more real but is still fast paced. Normally I'd leave a topic like this open for discussion since it's clearly a sore point amongst fans, but since your opening post was more of a "my way or the highway, get f*cked if you don't agree" sort of thing, there's probably little hope that it'll turn out to be too constructive.
