Squirlkiller Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 GTA VC wont let me change the resolution, when i try to switch to a different resolution, the game crashes. any help? btw my pc specs are Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 Processor: AMD Athlon XP 3200+, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU Sound Card: Realtek AC'97 Audio Memory: 448MB RAM DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Does it play ok in the default resolution (640x480) I'd start it low, play it a bit and raise it a bit each time-- it may not like running at a real high resolution... my integrated video won't run above 800x600x16 -- I'm a bit below you in video power. Also, you must switch the resolution before loading a game (right after starting up) i am trying to change it to 1280x1024 (im not sure if it is there) i try to switch the resolution before the game but ir crashes when i put apply. is there a file that i could go into and tweak? Are you running the game in win 98 compatibility mode-- if not, try that (this is a shotgun fix-- I don't have any idea if that is your problem).
