CIANIDE
For people who will be downloading it off Xbox Live. Here is a lesson I learned with the Fallout 3 expansion. Download it from the Xbox Live website. Xbox took more than an hour to post the Fallout 3 expansion on Xbox live marketplace after it was released but it was instantly put on the website and available for download. For those who don't know, you can download things from the website directly onto your Xbox. So if the official release time rolls around and you don't see "Lost and Damned" on the marketplace, or like me, you just want to be sure. Your best bet its getting it off the website. Darkgamr
Do I need to leave my 360 on for this to work? I am really interested in this, as I won't be at the same house as my 360 when it is released
CIANIDE
When the release time rolls around (3am est for me) you go to the Xbox Live Marketplace website http://marketplace.xbox.com The game should be listed then, at which point you can download it right to your xbox automatically. Of course you'll need the MS points, but you can get them on the site aswell.
Seddo
Also you actually have to have your 360 turned on to download it. Simply clicking on TLAD download from Xbox.com will only add it to your download queue.

scotland4life
Damn Asda. They don't have Microsoft points in stock in Portlethen (my home town) so now I have to trail into Aberdeen to get the points. Humph... At least this will hopefully speed it up for me when I get home. Cheers mate.
GTA3Freak-2001
It would be good if you could download it onto your PC and then transfer it via disc, usb drive or via network and not simply purchase it on your PC and have your 360 do the downloading. I guess it would only be a benefit if the content for PC users was on a separate server so the XBL servers don't get hammered as much. Still its good to know as believe it or not I've never bought anything off XBL with points except freebie arcade games or MS point handouts, I am actually grabbing a 1600 or 2000 bundle so I can purchase both TLAD and the Operation Anchorage for Fallout 3 on PC. Much prefer purchasing these things on my PC. Oops was under the impression TLAD was 800 points not 1600! Why can't we just purchase the exact amount of points we need! Magic_Al
Thanks for the tip! I wish Microsoft made the website link available early, then clicking it would be like a pre-order and the product would download automatically when the time came. Magic_Al
Is it a good idea to watch the GTA IV Marketplace link? That page has a disabled Game Add-ons link. The link to TLAD should go there. I don't know if it'll be updated right away but if people want to obsessively click refresh and find out, there you go. (The TLAD link is not already hidden in the page source as far as I can tell.)
