Slamman
As I scoured some print and online to get to a movie title via a cast member, I thought, a thread here, based on the idea of movies you saw that were worth mention that fell through the media cracks. One of those films for me has been "Malone", starring Burt Reynolds and Cliff Robertson. Rather then give up the plot, suffice to say, I've not seen it on DVD but owned the VHS for some time, then lost sight of it. An action film where the hero intends no 'fight' where he winds up, but his hand is soon forced.
Otter
I've been dying to see Crispin Glover's new films. You can't find those f*cking things anywhere.
TOGA62
I actually started a blog on this sort of stuff a while back, but only got around to reviewing one film so far. Been to busy with class. But I'm always looking for what I call "B" Flicks which are straight to DVD movies. I'm considering restarting the blog, since I do work at a video store. If anyone wants to write a review and have it posted with credit let me know! I will try and think of a few titles I've watched recently that are worthy of mentioning. Slamman
I did see one that my friend had (Crispin Glover starring film), it's a bit dated by now, I'll ask him on the title and put that in, but it involved a dead body or two and the problems that brought with it. I enjoyed it! Well, in cases like Malone, an R rated action film, it was likely in theaters for a time. Some are direct to video, but this can cover old ones as well as new releases...better ones that are largely forgotten over time. The thing for me, is I don't always see a new release I want to rent or buy, and I'll scour the old titles. The problem is the terrible telecine transfer of film to video over the many years of the 70s and 80s left them in neglect. Without delving into the old tech subject here, suffice to say, some of these should get back on the studio rosters of re-visited libraries. It was one of the really neat aspects of DVD coming into mass acceptance. Edited February 16, 2009 by Slamman
