MrKlorox
I guess the optimal solution would be a "skip program block" function/button combination. I remember canceling saves just to advance the clock 6 hours so I could catch the green lantern block on the beat. Wishing there was one now so I could fast track to the new content. Slamman
Only time I whined (to myself) is when two tracks are on counter stations, and I like them both! That always sucks. I have no problem with the idea of another station added, but there is a concern over having to sift thru them on the controller while in the midst of something. It's a very minor thing to find bothersome.
BioVirus
you guys realize Bikers are known for listening to death metal music? rock n roll. bikers don't listen to punk. since RockStar has been working on The Lost and the Damned since before GTA IV was released, then it's safe to say that they planned all of this from the start and not because 'the fans' said anything

Slamman
Well, of course, being I mentioned ALL the greats, the credit shall go to the INFAMOUS SLAMMAN for all artists I suggested. There we go! Until Rockstar Dis-Credits me, thems the facts, Jack! THRASH TILL DEATH!!!
The Aztek
From the first page of this thread, punk really does suck. Just a bunch of teenagers trying to play as fast as they can while screaming at the top of their lungs trying to sing with the skill of a monkey eating a banana. No one wants to listen to that except people with no taste in music. Death metal should of gotten its own station though, and V-Rock should be brought back. Funny ass talk shows in the morning and good late 70's and 80's rock playing through the day.
Slamman
Hell, Motorhead have "Iron Horse, Born to Lose" ... a must to hear while playing a biker. I have no issue with punk, or Hard Core, just mixing them on the same call letter station seems odd.

satchboogie
I just want my 80's and 90's "guitar" rock back. I don't think anything beat "God Bless Video" from Vice City. 80s cheese, Alcatraz, and Steve Vai, it just doesn't get any better!
Slamman
^ Didn't work too well for me, I recall the Alcatraz magazine ads that featured Yngwie Malmsteen with his "Aria Pro II" guitar. Like he swears by that!! hahaha I'd prefer some lost 80s 'hair bands'; Britney Fox, BulletBoys, Extreme's Mutha..Don't wanna go 2 Skool today! CryptReaperDorian
It is weird to combine punk and metal, but I like them both. It's funny how lots of people just stick to one rock or metal genre. Atleast Slamman knows how to expand his tastes in rock, but I can't blame anybody for what they like. We don't all eat the same food, same thing with music. . . . . except we listen to it not eat it. Two seperate stations would of been good, but then you'd need to hire more people and stuff for DJs, add so many more commercials, etc. For me, hardcore songs like Back to Back by Underdog raises my adrenaline by being fast paced and metal makes me feel like I'm invincible. Some of us EAT, SLEEP, and BREATH Metal, or music in general. I've been listening and singing along with music for decades, I grew up with a pair of headphones connected to my dad's 1970s Pioneer stereo with it's glowing readout, it was damn cool then and still is. I learned that some of that music didn't stand up over the years, but much if it did, in fact. You are doing yourSELF a disservice by shutting out the musical world around you. mr.e
woa woa woa the music on LCHC sucks to begin with hardcore is weak, they need to have a V-Rock station from VC. IMO the soundtrack in GTA 4 sucks really bad, so i turn the music off. Since i heard they were going to add some megadeth and sepultura it might be worth putting back in though. I didn't know Max Cavalera was hosting a show, Old Sepultura was badass but soulfly and the cavalera conspiracy suck. EDIT: I agree with ^ how badass would it be to have Bruce Dickinson host his own radio show. Back to the primitive FTW! Soulfly has there moments.... ~ Proud Supporter of the Child's Play Charity! | GTANET + Child's Play ~

DONAR
What an insult to R*.. The radio is one of the best things about GTA. I'll try to remember that next time I slaughter my way through a Gang War and climb on my bike only to hear Bon f*cking Jovi blaring from LRR. GTA VC was the best by far. SA had it's moments. IV was pretty sucky until L&D. It kinda bothers me that Saints Row II has the Metal station that Liberty City needs.
Zump
I don't understand these fa**ots telling to change to another radio station. If the BEST station is ruined with sh*t, what are you going to change it to? Some reggae station?
OysterBarron
If the station in question is the one that plays at the clubhouse, Then yes i actually have to leave the safehouse with some of the Tunes that get played on it! its horrible. Slamman
As far as the "hardcore" goes, if PUNK is the theme in NYC/LC...Still no Ramones. They could have had MOTORHEAD doing "R.A.M.O.N.E.S."... It would be a most great tip of the hat! I recall in the recent Who movie, Pete Townshend walking into a bar, seeing the Sex Pistols there and being rather timid, viewing the whole new music generation, but the Pistols imbraced him and he found they could share a love of music and not feel confrontational over it. I like that sphere of influence and always advocate it
CryptReaperDorian
while we are on the topic of music the start up artwork music is lame, stephen hawking could do a better one on Ejay Hey now, come on! Michael Hunter basically works with R*. . . . . Actually, he pretty much only made the theme music for GTA SA and GTA IV. It can little impatient sitting through that song and having to watch all that artwork while waiting for the game to load, but I find that to be a nice little piece by Michael Hunter. The song is called Soviet Connection (Theme from GTA IV). It sounds cool on the Mr. Tasty and when you call Z!T during that jingle it activates the health cheat. Nice little easter egg in GTA IV. archiebunker
We're not talking about the holocaust here-- we're talking about super-serious grown men barking like dogs into a microphone on top of a wall of un-melodic noise, putting out albums with covers that look like something out of a cheesy 1st Edition Dungeons & Dragons manual. I mean, what's my reaction SUPPOSED to be? Am I supposed to be scared? Sad? Nonplussed? What am I not getting? I listen to everything from post-punk to old negro spirituals to avant garde-- I don't think idiocy on my part is a factor.

Slamman
I'm gonna keep referencing Stephen Pearcy of RATT fame...he was quoted on camera for a VH1 music special about having all hard rock and metal bands and fans coming together as a united front. I truly believe that's the way it SHOULD be, the follow up to his comment was "yeah, right"...like that's gonna happen...in essence; "Why can't we all just get along?" The thing is, hard music can be heard differently for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is people's ears and brains take and feel music in seperate ways, but not so much so that each band would have one fan who likes them and identifies. It's just a fact of life, but I have to say... I don't feel it's bad to have one or the other or a mix... I feel neglecting the genres is the worst scenario!! Pr0xy_fl00d3r
I've completely contradicted myself here as I actually like a couple of the death metal songs, only the ones that sound less metal and more HC. But Im still angry that there wasn't a seperate station for metal, and more NYHC added to LCHC.
