^ Pretty much it and the framerate is f*cking amazing.

 

Even though PC offers more in terms of more items and the recent updates.. I'm still enjoying the XB1 version more than PC version honestly. I would probably play the PC more though if I didn't have lag issues around big condensed builds/towns being I just play on a laptop but with the smooth framerate and larger maps on XB1, I tend to enjoy it just fine.

Thanks-- will pass this along to my kids-- They played it briefly last night after I purchased it-- it did look better IMO--my youngest boy (he is 8) was NOT impressed.

 

I will have to buy a 4th controller for the PS4 now (my kids play this with their friends via split screen).

 

Has anyone figured out how you move saves/worlds from the old console to the new?? Is it via cloud or USB?

I'm thinking it will have to be USB .. I tried to tap X and transfer/load my old worlds and it said 'Could not find' .. so I'm going to try a USB stick here soon. I'll update soon if it worked or not unless someone else posts and confirms it works or how to do it.

I know for the xbox, you have to go back onto the 360 and it gives you an option to transfer it onto the Xbox One, then you have to go onto the Xbox One and then tap X to load it. It is a hassle but you only have to do it once I guess. I suppose it's a pain if you sold your 360 but I didn't luckily.

 

Also, you can only do it one world/load at a time.

Yeah I probably only have one worth transferring. I suppose the big downside (no pun intended) is the World will still be the standard 360 size instead of it being 32x bigger like it is on the Xbox One.

I got trapped in the stupid nether for 2 hours last night, eventually i found my way out but not before i killed myself to get out of the nether then i went back into the nether so i could find a landmark so that i would know i was going in the right direction there was something with 4 arches that resembled a viaduct i used that as a landmark, then i reloaded my save and managed to get there.

 

Goodbye nether i hope to never see you again.

Just completed a village that I've been working on off-and-on for about a week on the PS3 edition. Since my world didn't generate a very good village, I had decided to build my own. I have most of the standard npc buildings memorized so I built my village just like a regular Minecraft village, with a few custom things here and there. I also built another village towards the bottom of the map but I used my own custom made buildings for it. When I have internet, I'll invite those of you that have Minecraft on the PS3 to come join me. The game is definitely a lot more fun when you have others to play it with.

I really like the "nether1" song that you hear while in the Nether. You can also find the .ogg audio file for this song in the ". minecraft" folder as well as other audio files.

ey yo, sorry for the bump, BUT, I need to buy this game for my daughter's laptop. what are the hoops I need to jump through in order to get it? what do we need? talking about accounts, where do I need to sign up etc.

 

also, if one could suggest the fitting pack to purchase, really any suggestions are welcome!

It's pretty much dependant on if she is going to be playing with friends? Windows 10 version offers crossplay between pc, consoles and phones. Where as the java edition is PC and Mac only.

holy moly though, what a pain the ass to purchase the game in the ms store. for an hour or so it wouldn't let me buy with paysafe, only after a few workarounds and with the help of a good friend we managed. register with paysafe and whatnot, ugh, had no idea the sh*t you had to go through JUST to get this game. and did you know the ms store has some "trouble" with paysafe, meaning a purchase can take up to 48 hours before the product is actually available to you?! *BIG SIGH*

 

whatever though, my daughter is happy and that's what counts!

That's certainly good to hear that she's up and running, will bear that it mind about paysafe never used it to purchase anything or heard of it. If she's anything like what my friends kids are like they've still been playing it on and off for 6 years so it's pretty much garanteed to be one of the best game purchases you can make for her.
