This is a big bump, but I just saw a video showing the game's infdev map size(Three times the size of earth) and it is simply epic. I can't wait for climate and landscape types!

Played this game for about half an hour a few days ago. It's really fun even in single player.

Heh, what are the chances? I just downloaded this yesterday (Alpha version, I think it's survival mode). It's not very forgiving in how you craft things, what with no tutorial r anything, but thanks to the Minecraft Wiki I'm getting there. Now all I have to do is stop dying so god damn much, the "mobs" keep killing me during the night. I've had to resort to hiding in tiny tunnels or inside treetops just to make it until dawn. Gotta build a fort I think.

That's pretty awesome uni, I should record some videos of my worlds and the server we are on now. We're making a pretty huge castle.

 

 

I like watching other peoples games. Its interesting to see how they do things or ideas for things of your own. This is why I love multiplayer

 

As for diamonds, other rare items. I tend to find them in caverns that go really really deep. They tend to be on the walls or ceiling.

Diamond ore spawns really low, like, just a few blocks above adminium usually (which is the blocks that make up the bottom of the map).

 

Usually it's better to mine in natural caves if you want diamond. It's also worth noting that it'll spawn near lava, so it's always a good idea to bring at least one bucket of water when searching for diamonds.

 

Can't wait for the Halloween update. I'm just about to start on my new fortress, so I'm going to wait until the update and use lanterns instead of torches.

This game is so addictive. I was in multiplayer and dug a tunnel which was filled with water so i could swim up or sink down really quickly. Also known as a water elevator. Then i dug an area about 100x100x7 blocks, filled the floor with light green blocks and the ceiling and the walls with light blue. I then built a small path, a water fountain (or pool or something) and a town hall. Underground.

 

But that was on my parent's computer last weekend. When I try to join a server on my own computer it says that I can't connect and that the server is propably down. It isn't because I get this message on every server. Ilive in a student apartment and I get free internet. I just have to log into their net and I think that is the problem. But the game is in a browser.. That just defies logic.

 

Any idea what could cause it?

There are exactly 5 layers of adminium, layers (1-5) apparently diamond will mostly generate between these levels and level 16. Mining in levels 10-16 would be your best bet in finding diamonds.

 

Anyway, here are some of my creations, nothing too impressive, but I do have some larger projects planned. I had to use a map editor to make the dark pyramid though, as I wanted it to be made of adminium, the Mayan pyramid and floating sky fortress were done by hand, and by legitimately recovered resources.

If you want to play "Survival mode" (i.e. the best mode) as opposed to Creative (which is just an art game really) you're gonna have to cough up £8 or equivalent, but it's well worth it in my opinion.

Yes, yes I know the Eye of Sauron doesn't pour lava, but it got too close to the edge and, well, that stuff pretty hard to get under control.

 

I really wish I had a decent enough connection to do multiplayer, I can only imagine some of the crazy stuff out there.

Start by building a shelter near your spawn-point, with a crafting table and chest inside. Then you either update that shelter or take your time to create a new one. Then dig around your house and you'll eventually find a game made cave, then the fun begins.
