Got bored of my last world and decided to get a fresh start:

 

 

 

Base for the fortress is 250x150, and I'll be evening it all to layer 72. I've already gotten rid of ~75% of forest on the area, and from most of the biggest mountain-tops and gaps which go below 72.

 

First and second pic shows the wall going around the fortress, still in progress. Torches on top keep lighting-level everywhere on the wall over 9.

 

Third one shows my "cottage", farm, and other temporary stuff, and fourth one is just overview.

 

Going to take +50 hours, even with max. enchanted diamond tools.

I've started making an adventure map. I've gotten good at MCEdit and I'm making all of the terrain. Not much is done only about 60% in the starting area. I was thinking of doing a CTM (Complete the Monument) popularized by Vechz where you collect all the wools in dungeons. I think 16 is way too many for me to do so I'm having the player collect the story's 'Golden Items' like the tools, armor and maybe block and apple but I'll see how I go.

 

I plan to make a open/semi-linear style map where it leads to area with a golden item. I also have this cool item reward system for each dungeon. I will post pics as soon as I'm done with the 1st area or close to it.

I managed to convince my brother to play it and even buy it. It's a game anyone can play. All you need is a bit of imagination and you're away.

 

I didn't really have an interest in it on PC but a lot of friends got it on Xbox so I thought I'd give it a go on Xbox; glad I did.

 

@Senax: What makes the seed easy to get the achievement? I've tried to get the achievement a number of times and the pig always goes t flat land.

pap, Daz and I tried to get that cheev for ages but the stupid pig wouldn't go over a ledge even when we dug a deep trench all around it. What we eventually had to do was coral it completely with cobble three blocks high by one block wide, saddle and mount it, then dig out the ground underneath it to get it to fall and take damage. I made a save with the pig blocked in and we used that to get everyone the cheev by reverting to that save. It was a pain in the ass but p damned funny all the same.

Gotta love the new enchanting system:

 

Iron armor with:

Head: Protection 3, Respiration 2

Chest: Protection 4

Legs: Protection 4

Boots: Projectile Protection 4, Feather Falling 4

 

Diamond tools with:

Sword: Smite 4

Pickaxe: Unbreaking 3

Shovel: Efficiency 4, Fortune 2, Unbreaking 3

Axe: Efficiency 2

 

 

As you can see, I've managed to get something done, tower in the middle, which I'll make spiral staircase with different colored wooden slabs. (Birch and oak, can't find other types of wood due to Large Biomes...).

Finally finished a church I was building. Not religious or anything but it seemed rather "easy" to build, so I thought why not. I've put some nice paintings and torches in, looks good.

 

@oksa8: I like the look of the lava in the middle of that glass tower. I've done a similar thing but with water.

Actually, I've now ripped most of the mountain that used to be there, and now there's a garden-like area. Been huge job, so far total of 36 hours played on this map in a week and a half.

 

 

Oh, and happened to gain some cool enchantements on my diamond pick... That's the reason for all of that ice and stone, and I was also lucky to find a taiga-biome within the map I made, even while I got Large Biomes on.

 

And of course, FoV set to max. to view the barrier and some of the flattened land.

Sorry to post twice, but all that work to be stuck on an inactive page would be ridiculous. Coincidentally my phone happens to be in the shop for repairs right now, can somebody test this for me? You'll know if it was successful if it works.

 

edit: So apparently whitespace is required for QR codes to work. I fixed it but I don't feel like trimming the picture down again, so here's the URL:

Damn it, you're right. I didn't even plan to make it look like that. But well, it's like that now, won't be changing it anymore.

But I have to admit, I actually laughed when I noticed that.

 

But, some more pics... Added balcony to make it look less like you-know-what. And had to try some stuff with ice.

Just made this little temple at the south-east corner of the fortress, any ideas what I should add there? First I thought the temple would be for worshipping bacon, but the "bacon"-statue would be too big for the temple, so I have to make it somewhere else.

I'm going to start a new world on an amazing mod I found called 2D-Craft.It gives the possibility for you to create 2D worlds for minecraft,seen on a sideview scheme.The worlds are 2blocks wide and the mod seems amazing.The yogscast recently did a mod spotlight on it.

Ocelot family.Although it is not clearly seen,it has 2 ocelots and 2 baby ones.So cute.I found this while looking for flat land for my house.

 

These were just taken so you get an idea of the mod.More coming once I do or find something cool.

Okay,after those pics were taken,I didn't find any good flat spot,since I spawned in a jungle biome.I figured I could make it on top of the water.So,after planting some dirt,I made the house.Also found my first coal in the world and made a small house next to a mine(still tiny).

Anyway,let the pics speak for themselves.

 

Better look at the ocelot family.What can I say,I love cute ocelots.

How jungle trees are.You know how they are 2 blocks wide and the world is also 2 blocks wide here.So,one of the blocks is placed outside of the game world.It still is two blocks wide though.

First encounter with 2D water.Later f*cked it up kind of by taking off sand.Also,my house is on the other side of the lake after I flattened the land.

Found coal right before it was pitch black dark outside.Thank god for my tiny mine.

My current house,with lighting.You can't imagine the hell I've been through once I couldn't close the door.Hah.

I have some more pics if anyone is interested.I am screwed.A creeper followed me(got an exclusive snap with him after me) and he's now near my entrance.I fear he might destroy my house,and I have no sword.Also I came next to some iron.I think I will have to make a hole in the wall to leave the house and then kill him.

Okay,editing his once again.I left the house,he was on a hole.I came nearby to try to kill him,he blew up half of my house.Nothing too bad.Fixed the ground,rebuilt the house.My biggest problem now:Hunger.I don't have anything to eat,although I am starving.I made a chest and put all of my good stuff there(iron stuff,most of my torches...).I am going to die.Hopefully I will make it back to my house next.I am taking my stone pickaxe and 5 torches only.

Last edit of the day(and probably the last edit since tomorrow there will be more posts here for sure).

Made an iron axe,iron sword,iron pick and iron shovel.Also found my first gold(2 ingots) and some lapilli.Made a bed after I found sheep.Almost starved but killed a cow and made 3 steak.Made new changes to my house.Still need to further explore the overworld.Also,since I'm pretty low on my mine now,hopefully I will run into some obsidian soon enough,and diamonds(otherwise no obsidian).There is actually 2d versions of the nether and the end.Go figure.

All materials are mined and crafted, no fall damage, no hunger.

Not so big, but I got 25x25 plot and I'm not into skyscrapers so decided to keep it small.

Currently I'm building my country house, and design process for m/y Plutocracy is underway (~40% done, current cost 10000+ blocks).

 

And due to a migty bomber our admins built, I had to build some protection.

Mighty Dii-pada-pang XVI rocket with CreeperBlast Nuccelar warhead. Only 50% of them explode during launch. Based on the glorious North Korean Taepadong 2 technics.

And this grain silo has nothing special inside (it is actually ready now, have not uploaded pics yet). No hidden thingies in the grain silo!

Yeah.. I started 'crafting about a year ago. During last summer when there were slow, boring days at the office.

Those things I posted have been built since 21.12.2011 when our "new" server started.

 

So don't worry, you will have many, many wonderful (and frustrating) moments ahead of you in the blocky wonderland!

It has .. waterjet engines!!

Who uses propellers today?! Gas turbine CobbleTech + waterjet = Speed, manouverability, less draught!!

 

OK, it may not be as fuel efficient than traditional propeller propulsion, but hey... ;D

That is looking much more awesome than mine.But have you mined anything yet?

Here's the stuff I've done:

Made paths from the spawn to my house,with a dirt stairway to the roof.

Made a bed(found a pack of 3 sheep,what a lucky thing)

Finally managed to eat the steak by changing into 1st person view for a while.

Killed 4 creepers(two blew up my house,fixed now,and two blew up a mountain and I fell from it,I killed them but they all blew up).

Killed 1 spider.I am planning on making a fishing rod and fishing a bit,so I can get a source of food AND get a pet ocelot to keep the creepers away.

Made a f*cking huge mine with lighting(last time I didn't put lights and I found 4 skeletons,2 creepers,1 spider and 1 spider jockey in my mine,ran as hell back up to the house,and on the daytime put lights in there and didn't remind myself of the creepers,which ended up blowing up my house).

Furniture: Furnace,Crafting Table,Bed,Double chest,Door.

 

I shall keep updating my 2D adventures.I recommend this mod to everyone.It gives a whole new experience,and you can still play in 3D in normal worlds(To make a 2D one,put 2DWORLD on the world options,or Terraria,which also works,not sure what's the difference though)

Oh my,a creeper!Managed to snap this quickly while running.I thought he was stuck.

The creeper did this.Nothing too bad except for the huge hole on my mine entrance.Hmm,filled it with dirt but didn't have enough so used gravel and sand aswell.Still left some spaces empty =(

IRON!f*ck yeah.I found this BEFORE the creeper blew up the mine entrance.Made a sweet pick,shovel,sword and axe when I found iron.

The end of the remodelations and fixing.Actually I was doing nothing,just like my real job.

A closer look at the fixed floor.Notice I had to use gravel and sand once I ran out of dirt.

Happier times in a blast to the past.Me smelting ,my first 2d Iron.

I unfortunately have no recent pictures.I now have a chest and a bed too.This house is getting tight,I am going to move once I dig out a bit more of that damned mine.

f*ck me,for real.It all began a few minutes from this edit.I decided to move,since I need to expand my home.I was taking everything with me,and I had found DIAMONDS and had a diamond sword and pick.I destroyed everything,a creeper came and helped me take everything(hah).I was going when I saw a freakin' skeleton.I panicked.He shot me and somehow I fell off the world.Lost everything I have made.

 

I am going to create a new world.It CANNOT be a freakin' jungle.

This is my list:

Jungle Spawn: No more.The trees make seeing impossible.Specially dangerous at night.Also lacks sheep and cows,never found a single pig,and doesn't have much water.

Desert Spawn: I'd like to try.I love living in the desert.I can make myself a castle and stuff.If I get stuffed on wood and find a desert,this will be my spawn.

Snow and Forest and Stuff: Would like to spawn here.

Mushroom Spawn: Meh,easy tents made with the mushrooms,kind of sucks for a house.

Ocean Biome: May do it.

 

Now,my biggest issues with this mod:

How the f*ck do I farm?

Troubles with eating food.May be fixed by using 1st person to eat.

Even in easy there are tons of mobs.I like a good challenge though.

 

Anyway,hopefully I get a nice spawn and find flat land where I can actually expand my house and make a mine.

I've just found diamonds, i've been mining alot. I also made obsidian with lava and water, i hope to make a nether portal!

Meh,I had two chests,but since I was moving,I was taking them with me.

 

Anyway,on my new game I made a huge snow wood house(looks beautiful,considering making a fireplace there) with a door and two trapdoors on the roof.I will probably expand it down or up once I need it.Also started a mine,found 8 iron and an extreme lack of coal.Also found a desert biome,my first 2d pig,cows,chicken and befriended 2 wolves which ate 3 chicken and 2 beef and are still not fully loyal.This night an innocent wood hunt turned night and had to fight creepers and skeletons.I'm sleeping on a hole tonight.I also have some pictures of how the nether is,how the portal is,all done on my testing game: 2D Test

I started off a new world, made some terrific progress. Edited the Terraria texture pack to my liking, also used the "Advanced HUD" mod, to make the hud same as Terraria

BTW GTASAIDEAMASTER: Too bad that i can't host a server, i don't know if you can either, maybe not.
