It's buggy I just spawned inside a lava lake.

Yeah the terrain generator certainly is, just stumbled across a ravine and the new lighting engine is fantastic!

Yeah just picked up the jar file it's nuts I've spawned in a redwood forest, haven't had something like this before.

It isn't a leak as such, Jeb has released it for us to beta test it before the proper release.

One thing, in creative mod you can still die, you can dig until you hit bedrock and since bedrock is breakable in creative mode, you can dig too far and fall into the void.

Double press space.

Double press spacebar and you'll fly. Double press it to stop flying, and hold space to go up.

Andrew, how do you get the 1.8 Pre-Release to work online? Me and a couple of people wanna try it out.

 

Also I love how Minecraft can look so damn amazing.

Just download the pre release server Jar and run like a normal minecraft server.

We haven't found a village yet on Andrew's local server, but plenty of ravines and awesome forests. The mountains are brilliant, as are the deep oceans.

 

We just found this abandoned mine through Andrew seeing rail in a chunk error, the passage ways don't lead to anything we've found so far.

It's not working... it's just opening the door.

No, the regular GTAF server is still running on 1.7 and cannot be updated until 1.8 is actually released. I set up a local one.

 

In the mines you can also find chests with swag in them!

 

Oh and notch needs to work on the rendering code.
