Diablow
Will this work with version 1.0.7.0 ??? too bad ultimate graphic tweak only supports 1.0.6.0 in the test version. Id like to combine Ultimate Graphics Tweak, Environment Mod and Better Texture Mod under 1.0.7.

Grandtheftninja
I'm wondering, does this mod work with the current VisualIV? I used to have just this and the Ultimate Graphics Tweak for graphics and since my computer needed to be rebooted, I installed VisualIV, which includes Ultimate Graphics Tweak. Anyways, great mod, looks great and very realistic.

Marty McFly
i tested it it works fine with 1.0.7.0.all graphic mods work on 1.0.7.0 exept those with shader modfications.realityiv is the only one that has shaders for 1.0.7.0. if you use the timecyc.dat from env5 mod and use the other files from ch7realmod you get insane quality.if somwbody tells me how to use SPOILER tags i'll add some screens. nickypunk001
GTA Environment mod What this mod does: - All weather types edited for every hour of the day to create a better realistic environment. - New shadow calculation and sun reflecions. - Gradient sky for sunny and extra sunny with no clouds, - Added realistic fog for rain, drizzle and foggy. - New cloud texture and stipple texture. - Better water reflection and colour. - All trees edited to match the environment. - Compatible with the ultimate graphic tweak with and without DOF/motion blur. - Easy install and uninstall Further development and support of this mod has been stopped. Video from version 5 drizzle weather: Download Use gtagarage further down this page or one of these mirrors: GTA environment mod 5 full (megaupload) GTA environment mod 5 full (rapidshare) To use this mod with the new patch 1.5 "1.0.0.4" You first need to make the game "moddable". Download ASI loader and FilecheckFix and copy the files "dsound.dll" and "FileCheckFix.asi" to the place your GTA.exe is located. Remember to backup everything you replace! Download full mod from above and install it, then download and install the hotfix from below: Env mod 5 hotfix for patch 1.0.0.4 Env mod 5 hotfix for patch 1.0.0.4 (rapidshare mirror) For best visuals set your display settings to 50% brightness, 20% contrast and 100% saturation after install. Bugs: Sometimes a line will appear between the horizont and the water when looking at the sea from high above. Using a trainer and swithing the "weather type" to sunny windy 2 can create strange things at nighttime. This shouldn't be a problem if you don't use a trainer! Lodis
I have been using this alongside Realizm IV 6.2 and patch 1.070 and the results are simply amasing. Everything looks so much clearer and all types of weather look great. I have the improved shadows from patch 1.070 and the textures of Realizm IV 6.2 and everything couldn't look better at 1920 x 1080 on my gaming laptop! MattyDienhoff
I really like this mod's changes to the world lighting. Days are brighter and more colourful. Nights are darker, but lights seem to be brighter to compensate and this provides nice contrast. But then there's the matter of object reflectiveness. It seems to be increased substantially across the board. It looks nice on the cars, but many other objects are extra shiny too. Street objects, people, their clothing, even weapons. All things that probably had very slight, very subtle shine to them originally, but are now outright shiny. Some examples: http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/8370/gt...12317484310.png http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/8543/gt...12318212660.png http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/197/gtaiv2011112317331662.png How could I reduce the shininess while preserving all of the other changes the mod makes? Thanks To edit the power of the reflections you have to download a tool called EditIV or Timecyc editor, then find the parameter called "Global reflection" and edit it to a lower number, but the reflection allso affects reflections from the sun on bulidings etc. /K2 Edited December 7, 2011 by kriller2 Zyo

cp1dell
Let me give some background information before I explain my problem. In GTA IV when you turn definition off, it enables motion blur, DOF and all that stuff. The downside is that there is static blur. Even if everything is still, or close to you, it is blurry. The mod "Ultimate Graphic Tweak" fixed that. It removed the static blur. Now my problem is, that it turns out that the timecyc.dat from this mod is the cause of the static blur. Even if you are using the Ultimate Graphic Tweak. I tested this by temporarly using the default timecyc.dat file, and there was no static blur. So something in this mod's timecyc.dat is causing the static blur that the Ultimate Graphic Tweak is supposed to fix. Is there any way to fix this? Any idea on what setting in the timecyc.dat file causes the static blur? This is very odd, considering at night time the static blur is gone. But the moment it's light out, the static blur is back. Static blur is in ragepostfx (it's very hard to edit) file from shaders folder. You can't remove it from timecyc.
cp1dell
I don't mean to doubt you, but are you sure? It has to be something with the timecyc.dat file. I tested this with a copy of the default, and a copy of the one that comes with this. With this mod's timecyc.dat file, the static blur is there. With the default timecyc.dat file, the static blur is not there. I am using the 1.0.6 Test version of Ultimate Graphics Tweak - edited to remove the DOF, but that's about it. I'm sure it has something to do with the timecyc.dat file.

I don't want to boubt you too, i just share and yes im sure, read here how to remove static blur from raggepostfx: HERE But this is for the old versions of the game. Soon I'll remove it from 1.0.7.0 (need a lot of time). About the timecyces files, this is problably from "Start far DOF" from Other section or maybe from night and other outlined edges, but no, from timecyc you can't remove it!!! cp1dell
Apologies for doubting you earlier. You were 100% correct. It was the rage_postfx file. I used the Alternate Graphics Patcher or whatever it's called, and now everything is perfectly fine.
