Use gtagarage further down this page or one of these mirrors:

GTA environment mod 5 full (megaupload)

GTA environment mod 5 full (rapidshare)

To use this mod with the new patch 1.5 "1.0.0.4"

You first need to make the game "moddable". Download ASI loader and FilecheckFix and copy the files "dsound.dll" and "FileCheckFix.asi" to the place your GTA.exe is located.

Remember to backup everything you replace!

Download full mod from above and install it, then download and install the hotfix from below:

Env mod 5 hotfix for patch 1.0.0.4

Env mod 5 hotfix for patch 1.0.0.4 (rapidshare mirror)

For best visuals set your display settings to 50% brightness, 20% contrast and 100% saturation after install.

Bugs:

Sometimes a line will appear between the horizont and the water when looking at the sea from high above.

Using a trainer and swithing the "weather type" to sunny windy 2 can create strange things at nighttime. This shouldn't be a problem if you don't use a trainer!

looks pretty cool, when will you release it?

Thanks. I still have alot of work to do, because the engine uses all the different weathersettings "extra sunny", "sunny", "cloudy", "Windy", "Rain" etc. and then blend between them to get new weather effects, so if I adjust one thing suddenly alot of other things are affected... tounge.gif

Will post when progress is made smile.gif , right now im trying to get the cloudy settings to not look like everything have a grey colour applied to it.

Little progress made with the cloudy settings? I wanted to edit the settings so that you still can see the different shades of colours, but with a cloudy tone aplied to the overall scene without everything turns grey.

Thank you for the comments, this mod is now ready for you to try! smile.gif Alot of changes have been made to the visualsettings file improving how the light reflects on both cars, peds and the city and with how much power the different light effects in game shoul glow in.

I saw you changed that headlight effects and texture. can you also change that dark circle most cars have in the middle of their rims? for me it looks like a bunch of squares and not an actual circle. would be appriciated (spelling)

Hi Chili,

The headlight is from another mod and the flare around the lights are from XTX's mod (there is links to the mods in the readme), but I have changed with how much power the headlight and streetlamps and explosions should glow in both the visualsettings and the timesyc.dat.

Okay Diboze I hear you smile.gif so I have increased the bloom and made it work with the Crysis tweak blur.

Is this better?

Ouc !

THIS is awesome !

What did you edited, the texture ?

thanks, yes I edited all the textures that GTA4 uses for making trees to decrease the shimmering effect that could be seen and changed the colour of the textures.

now it looks more realistic kriller smile.gif

When will you release it?

good to hear Diboze smile.gif Release will be next week if all bugs are taken care off.

Here are the upcoming features:

- All different times of days colour in the Timesyc updated for ambient light, direct light, clouds form and clouds colour, skycolour, etc. etc.

- All trees edited to a new colour and some editing on the leaves to hopefully decrease the pixels that could be seen flickering.

- Real NY colour for busses and taxis.

- New version support the "Ultimate Graphic tweak" by bartekxyz ( see screenshots)

- Bug fixes: The line that could be seen in the horizont between the sky and water is gone.
