SmokyRain's mod for GTA4 PC : Wild City

v0.31

---------------------------------------

 

this is a MOD making Liberity City as a crazy, danger place with full chaos. you are no longer safe here...

 

features:

*Almost all NPC will attack each other. their targets also just include YOU.

*Baseballbelt, knife, Pistol, and Shotgun will be used by NPC randomly, even Grenades.

*Driver on Car will get off and attack targets around using pistol randomly.

*Smoe Driver will make their car crashing into your vehical or YOU.

*You have a little chance to meet explosion while closing to a car.

*NPC now will use Molotov Cocktails to attack vehicals and driver nearby.

*when you driving, you have a little chance to meet a engine jam to force you walk on your feet.

*Not every car you found can be used anymore, most of them have been damaged in chaos.

Please note that this mod is based on

DotNet ScriptHook 0.82 and 0.86. if you t

ry to use with ScriptHook 0.84 the game will

crash after few seconds.

Install:

 

1.just copy 'SmokyRain's Wild City.net.dll' into subfolder 'Scripts' under your GTA4 folder, just like:

'E:\games\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\scripts'.

 

2.Install .Net ScriptHook 0.82 asi file. Copy ScriptHookDotNet.asi into your GTA4 game folder. MAKE SURE you got this file from Version 0.82. or you can copy this file from my zip file.

 

Usage:

 

1.Load one of your save games, or restart a new game.

2.Press Num0 to active Wild City mod. you can see indications above screen.

3.To disable mod, just press num0 again.

This is fun, the only problem is most peds don't fight eachother, they run away in fear, you need to boost their morale or whatever.

something can be done to fix it, but also would slow down the game. peds will run away if they hear gun firing before i can control them.maybe just forbit using pistol? sigh.gif

nice one.

 

if it was possible to determine what weapons the peds are using and if they all attack the player or not (in an ini file) than it would be even better.

 

will try this one out when it's compatible with the 0.84 scripthook.

Humm, can you give me more details? maybe you want some settings to control what npc want to do?

I've tried using the GTAIV .Net Script Hook v0.86 BETA with the Wild City V0.31 and with the Net Script Hook within the Wild City Mod. With Net Script Hook v0.86 BETA nothing seems to happen after pressing the NumPad0 using the ~ key states that the Wild City ASI file has been loaded but still nothing. The problems with the Net Script Hook that is contain in the WC Mod is the people standing around with Molotov Cocktails, baseball bats while others are just walking around. Note: I do have the Violent City Mod activated.

sometimes i also meet this while after activing my mod but only peopel on street running around just searching for next target. this problem has been reduced while code has been rewriten. but the problem of activition has never occured on my machine. maybe you need reinstall ASI loader dozingoff.gif . sorry i have no idea about that.

 

BTW: you need to download the newest version of NetScriptHook from Hazardx. maybe the ASI file in my zip file has expired.

Can you please Fix your WC Mod Version it also that i can play with NetScript Hook 0.86?

Yeah but you say it doesn´t work with 0.86 only with 0.82, 0.84.

 

Or Updated you your Version to 0.86?

Am I the only one who really dislikes the random engine jamming that seems to happen every five minutes? Maybe you could make some more of the stuff modifiable, like letting us choose the frequency of jamming and weapons for peds?

indeed some people dislike this setting confused.gif , so i have decided to remove this from the next version. but in fact it doesn't occur every 5 min, just a random function to reach it.

I guess something crashed while these two scripts running together. so remove 'HandheldTeleportDeviceScript.CoMPMStR0' scirpt and try again.

Thanks for the help. I will give that a try and come back with a update.

 

Update: I tried it without the teleport mod and still nothing. The Log showed it loaded successfully , but when I pressed the activate button I didn't notice anything different the entire time playing.

The mod looks awesome.

 

Update: I used the scripthookdotnet included in your mod instead of the one of the one I was using and it worked. I am guessing the mod is not up to date with ScriptHookDotNet v0.86 BETA. That is the one I was using , I had to switch back to it as the other mods stop working with the included scripthookdotnet.

this script/mod does not work with 1.0.3, the scripthook 0.86 isnt working so it doesnt load this mod. is there an alternative to the scripthook code or such that works witn 1.0.3?

 

no big deal just wanted to ask.

 

edit: sorry guys i didnt realize there was so much ..drama over the 1.0.3 patch and mods. At least the alice scripts still work though.
