GTA_dog 714
I thought Niko wouldn't have any new lines in the game, but at the end of the trailer it shows a cutscene I'm not familiar with!
i like coffee enemas 1
Yeah and there's no new dialogue for Niko. Same scene, same dialogue.

Dingdongs 2,656
Yeah and there's no new dialogue for Niko. Same scene, same dialogue. There will be new diologe for Niko. They had a lot of stuff recorded by Hollick, so we will see new Niko lines in L and D no doubt.

Unless Johnny knows how to properly utilize wormholes and jump waaay into the future, there will be no new dialogue for Niko in TLAD. We'll probably see Niko twice, and both appearences, we played through in IV AS NIKO. And even if Johnny see's Niko any other times, like from behind a wall or something, we'll of still also played through the scene in IV AS NIKO. There will be NOOOOOOOOOOO new dialogue for Nikooooooooo.
mrpain 43
wait which trailer shows Niko?
Leo Colt 5
Trailer 2, right at the end. There are no new lines. It's just a cutscene from when you meet Johnny at the Libertonian Museum in "Museum Piece." The camera angle is centered on Johnny this time, however.
mrpain 43
Yeah I saw the trailer alredi. What an awesome trailer
fraggyy 0
For the love of god, there are no new lines in gta iv from Niko. Rockstar confirmed it and the voice actor Michael Hollick had issues with Rockstar where he claimed he was entitled to more money than his 1.000 something dollars a day. Of course everyone knows GTA sold like 10 Mil but that is irrelevant since his fee was settled before he started working with them in a contract. So again in short. No new lines. If D&L comes out and i'm wrong, i'm not held responsible, deal with it.

MC. 139
Yo dawg, there ain't no new dialogue especially now that Michael Hollick didn't get fired but he wasn't hired. Edited February 14, 2009 by MC_320
~Nico~ 0
He was only hired on to do a certain amount of work, once he was done and got paid, he bitched just like Ray Liotta because he realized after all the sales that hey maybe I should have asked for a little more but it was his fault, so no he didn't get fired. Dingdongs 2,656
He didn't get f*cking fired. Get your facts right. Who knows what they had him record in the time he was there. And where the f*ck did you get 1,000 dollars a day? He got paid 100 grand for his entire voice acting performance.
Hydro_PT 12
Actually there can be new lines for Niko. Rockstar had already planned these two DLCs when they were doing GTA IV. They know exactly what the characters and new stories will be on the The Lost and Damned and the 2nd DLC. So they might have recorded some new lines for Niko, even though we don't know about them. I'm not sure whether we will have new lines for Niko on this DLC or on the second one, but it's not impossible. The fact that Hollick is not going to work with Rockstar anymore doesn't mean they can't make new cut-scenes with Niko. We don't know what they recorded and saved and didn't use yet. Magic_Al 949
From IGN's TLAD preview: The scripts for GTA IV and L&D were written at the same time and Rockstar had this crossover in mind from the very beginning. If IGN's reporting is accurate, all of Niko's lines for the main game and both DLCs would have been recorded during the sessions Hollick did before IV came out. But, we've already heard everything Niko says. Niko can't say anything different in TLAD without violating the canon of his own story. Every sound Niko makes in TLAD should be exactly the same recordings we already heard because that's logical.

I make more than that, so he had a decent reason to complain
Magic_Al 949
Hollick was fine with his hourly pay but he was concerned that he doesn't get royalties or a per-use fee. A lot of movie and TV actors get a percentage of sales or additional payments when their recordings are reused. With GTA IV's sales even a tiny percentage would be a lot of money. I think now that the DLC intersection concept has been revealed Hollick wouldn't have had more work to do anyway. The main IV game is all the Niko there is. By extension, TLAD will be all the Johnny there is and if DLC2 is another intersecting episode there will be no new Johnny in DLC2.
