My mouse still doesnt work in EfLC!

2 years of development and my mouse is still being treated as thumbstick.

i have been testing for a few hours and this mod seems to be working fine with EFLC.

looks like there is no modding protection at all?

yes, but i think that rockstar added one thing: players with modded files can't see servers with unmodded files etc. Coz i wanted to play, but there were very small servers, not like usual.

Umm killa, do you have a list of corresponding cars that you are basing the handling off of? Just for model replacement purposes.

Just downloaded the latest one and replaced all files but in the folders named about helicopters are those the same as the other handling.dat files but has the helicopter line edited whereas the others don't?

 

I am just confused as to why there is so many handling.dat files.

You maybe know I'm working on a new car pack since a few month,

the project in now well advanced and I was dreaming about having your skill in the project team.

 

Would you like to have a look at the pack and make some handling optimization where they are needed?

Since the install of this all I have seen are taxis Huntleys and buses where's the other vehicles?

Go in EFLC Folder \common\data and Replace handling.dat by the One By Killatomate

i have uploaded the EFLC mod 4 days ago to two different file hosters but they both screwed up.

Whats the point in making mods when you cant share them??? confused.gif

i was rushing like hell to get Beta1 done within 2 days (working day and night) and NOW I HAVE TO WATCH THE FILE BEING IDLE ON THESE SERVERS FOR 5 DAYS. sad.

HOTFILE uploads instantly, you could upload it there until the GTAGarage link works. If you want, of course(no pressure).

the only difference between the three files is the helicopter handling. just pick the handling you prefer

undoubtedly, the best handling on earth;

may be you should work for R * next time ...

 

However, I adjusted the distortion values Dd

for my personal use:

4 for small or modern cars

3 for cars

2 for 4x4s and vans

1 for larger trucks and 5 sports cars

and I kept the original handling Faggio;)

soooo. this is just the handling files? all those pictures of replaced car models/textures means nothing? cuz i dont see how over 100 cars can be replaced in a 3MB file. granted i havent modded gta4 before only SA.

You're not so curious for 3mo;) [3mo=100cars possibly in Gta1]

the settings are for the 100 real cars, I guess,

and work for the imitations of the game perfectly.

Actually, I thought that the cars are a tad too fast at lower gears... I will think that it's better if gear 1 caps ard 20km/h, then shifts to gear 2 and caps ard 40-45km/h, etc... and leave the higher gears to do the rest. Cos' I can see from my exp that the real cars dun speed up that fast at lower gears...

All cars ingame represent real life counter parts right?

 

but how about ingame information? like when the real life counter part is a V8

but in the game they made it V10 , did you increase it's preformance?

I will think that it's better if gear 1 caps ard 20km/h, then shifts to gear 2 and caps ard 40-45km/h, etc... and leave the higher gears to do the rest. Cos' I can see from my exp that the real cars dun speed up that fast at lower gears...

the game doesnt allow more detailed changes to gear ratio. this is as close as it gets bored.gif

the problem is that many cars have variants (eg. DF-8 stock, DF-8 sport, DF-8 V6 turbo charged) but use only one handling.

this means that all variants have to have the same performance. not matter whats printed on their hood. which performance would you pick? make the stock version accelerate like a V6 turbo - or make the turbo version as slow as the stock car?

 

in most cases i chose the most popular engine version - the one that your are most likely to meet on the street - or the version thats most interesting to drive.

I have tried to install your handling mod (the EFLC version) on the GFWL version of the TBOGT DLC on the Steam version of GTA IV, and when I try to start up TBOGT, the game crashes.

 

I have the regular version of your handling mod working just fine on vanilla GTA IV. What could be the problem?
