Petrol Mod

I found something interesting..

Ok, so it compares a global variable to var0 (which is 911). so now the problem is: How can we return/get that Global variable?

 

EDIT: I'm real real close here... or maybe i'm hallucinating.. suicidal.gif

Yes, Global 91 indeed contains the last called phone number. BUT i do NOT know any way to read the globals from a script. confused.gif There's no script command for it and the memory address for globals is still unknown yet (as far as i know). The ability to read the globals would open up LOTS of new possibilities.

hours of searching later i realized... no coordinates were saved oO

The ferry terminal for example would be a nice ship refuel station ( with four different slots->nice for multiplayer! biggrin.gif )... have to go ingame again trying to pick up the coordinates if thats ok...

other places could be dock at liberty island and the two ports around alderney. very hard to find good places, as there are too many docks... guess i first try to look for the shipyards...

 

@gangsta: Your petrol mod seems very interesting! I like the idea of having different prices!

So we will have different petrol firms in the game, after some textures have been replaced! icon14.gif

There currently is different petrol firms in the game. Ron, TerrOil and Globe Oil. Ron is the most used on though, there are 2 globes and 1 terrOil.

i know this isnt important but what about no petrol in missions without having to turn the mod itself off.

 

p.s leopard_ the version u sent me causes gta to stop working, instead i will find all the pads then go out for the coordinates. Results by tonight.

 

also i noticed something, after i run out of petrol in my car, all the other cars on the streets and parked up all have no petrol aswell?

OK, V45 released! Alot of stupid stuff is removed/fixed..

 

- Speedometer/fuel-o-meter

- All fuel stations ingame working (for car).

- Two fuel stations for heli's are working.

- Everything working OK

- Array bug is fixed!

Thanks. And yeah, i got it (thanks to the guys @ SA:MP Irc). Turns out that sizeof() was wrong so it did 46/48 loopings instead of 3, heh. Got that fixed.

- 3 different station prices (Ron, TerraOil and Globe) 209, 239 and 260 for 10l of fuel

- 9 working paying stations

- 7 stealing locations (ranging from tankers to, the oil facilties in Acter, get a 2 star wanted level)

- Expensive emergency recovery. Fills the car with 100l of petrol to get you to a petrol station.

Thanks for the coordinates! I'll do boat fuel stations tomorrow, MAYBE today.

 

Also i'm extremely stupid this week. The destroyBlips function is meant to remove all blips when player gone onfoot, but i checked if player was in car. suicidal.gif

Small changes so far

 

-has a function that lets you save fuel amount on key press, so you can restore fuel at start of next game.

-ini files allows you to change the keys, price of the fuel at the different stations, and the amount of fuel dispensed at refuel

 

Plan to add a siphon option from other cars.

Nice ideas! The save fuel with key press, that's almost like niko saving the fuel at his own house tounge.gif kinda like savegame.

 

Ok, blip system fully fixed. Just gonna fix heli fueling and add a secret thing into V5 lol.gif (it has something with bomb)

Does GTA4 not have a way to get the actual speed (in meters per second maybe)? If it does you should be able to take that and do a little math to get kilometers or miles per hour.

Yeah I do, I can read single values fine. But when I try to add 2 keys together in the ini, it doesnt like it.

I think it would be nice if you could enable/disable the radar blips with a hotkey. Since the icons show up on the edge of the radar no matter how far away they are they really crowd it up. It would be even better if they could work like the Pay N Spray or car wash icons.

 

Also a way to configure how quickly the fuel drains in the ini would be great.
