Last Movie You've Seen

Crokey

Please post more than just the title.

We don't need a War and Peace essay on the film, but at least give a couple of sentences of good and bad points and even throw in a rating if you want to, as long as you give some rationale.

Terminator genisys

That was very entertaining and fun to watch with a lot of action and well handled sentimental scenes.

Rise of the machines remains my favorite episode however.

Rise of the Machines? Is that T3?

I watched The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (2013) last weekend.

MV5BODYwNDYxNDk1Nl5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwOTAw

The script was really bad, but it was an enjoyable, innocent and lovable film.

Plus, Ben Stiller blew my mind with his direction skeelz!

All the Money in the World (2017) pretty good film, I couldn't see Kevin Spacey in this rule, Christopher Plummer did a excellent job, and Michelle Williams character reminded me of a younger Ellen Burstyn in The Exorcist first film

My Friend Dahmer (2017)

Not bad, but I was expecting more horror.

7/10

EDIT: Just realized the OP prohibited ratings. Oh, well. In MY opinion, it was decent.

Saw the classic Mary Poppins (1964) last weekend.

61nyfu5s9qL._SY355_.jpg

Watched it after Saving Mr. Banks (2013) which didn't really add much. :dontgetit:

A classic with a great soundtrack and undeniable charm.

It does, however, last much too long and becomes a bore at several points.

Last weekend I watched Lars and the Real Girl (2007)

51Sn3wcuNGL._SY445_.jpg

A lovely movie that turned a kinda creepy concept into something innocent and nice...somehow!

Heck, every single character in this film was nice. Weird...

A third one?! If so, I'm hyped! Although I didn't like Part 2 all that much.

I saw Seven Psychopaths (2012) last night

MV5BMTgwMzUxMjc0M15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMzQ2

I was hyped up because I really loved both In Bruge and Three Billboards but this was so disappointing.

Just like the main character, Marty, it's as if Martin McDonagh was was drinking while writing. It's all over the place and it doesn't have the cleverness that's in his other films. Plus the acting was really, really bad (except for Harrelson).

Super Dark Times (2017)

Distribution2_SuperDarkTimes.jpg

Pretty decent. Teenagers Zach and Josh have been best friends their whole lives, but when a gruesome accident leads to a cover-up, the secret drives a wedge between them and propels them down a rabbit hole of escalating paranoia and violence.

Yep. Tarantino recently stated in December 2015 that he's had an idea for what he would like to do for a part 3, but has been waiting for the actors to age naturally.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1521225/

However, some recent articles have stated a third sequel may never happen. Apparently, there's been a feud with Uma Thruman and Tarantino. Here: https://movieweb.com/kill-bill-3-never-happen-uma-thurman-quentin-tarantino-fight/

That ain't good. He also mentioned he's retiring after two more films or something.

But those "retirements" often don't really happen, lol.

I watched Blue Valentine (2010) last night.

It was surprisingly enjoyable.

A bit melodramatic at times, but a heartfelt story with great acting and great characters.

I watched Split (2016) last night.

MV5BZTJiNGM2NjItNDRiYy00ZjY0LTgwNTItZDBm

It had some of the bad aspects of classic M. Night Shyamalan like weird writing and "why-is-this-even-here" moments.

I enjoyed McAvoy's insane performance and the after credits scene filled me with glee!

Still not all that good.

Saw Infinity War. It was a pretty fun time. They did a good job with Thanos I think. Might have been the first MCU villain I actually gave a sh*t about(to be fair I haven't seen all of the films). Dude was a badass and had pretty well fleshed out motivations. He kinda feels like the protagonist of this film as the heroes don't really get a ton of development outside of a couple of moments.

There were a couple of plot points that bothered me a little in the film, but overall I didn't really have any major issues with it. Was worth the hype imo.

Killing Gunther (2017) Arnold Schwarzenegger was Gunther and exe producer of this terrible film that wasn't funny at all and I couldn't wait for it to end, kept waiting for Arnold to appear, and not tell the last 20 minutes or more of the film does he appear, a waste of time to watch!.. :v::v::v::v:

I watched The Road to El Dorado (2000) this morning (not sure why)

MV5BOTEzNWIwMzctOTE1YS00YjIyLTgwZGEtMTMx

It's been ages since I last saw it, and well, it was much worse than I remember.

Kinda funny, but the story and most characters are lame.

Hmmm nice bike

2012 was on TV last night, and this was my first time seeing the full movie and not just random clips online. It's a very stupid movie, but it's still enjoyable! Loads of tropes and stereotypes you've seen before somewhere, characters who you know to root for in the first 30 seconds of their appearance, and moments that are so dumb that they're hilarious (such as the entire escaping from LA sequence). Also, the main character is named after 50 Cent ("Jackson Curtis"). 10/10, I'm a sucker for movies like this. I feel like Nicolas Cage could have been good as the main character, too, John Cusack's performance in this really reminded me of Cage for some reason.

Watched Infinity War (2018) yesterday.

No spoilers, don't worry!

It felt like a typical Avengers movie to me, honestly.

Nothing too special. A fun time, though.

Josh Brolin was excellent as Thanos!

I watched Umimachi Diary aka Our Little Sister (2015) last Monday, which was the last time I watched a movie!

MV5BMjE0MjYyMjQ4OF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMjk5

Might be my favourite ever Japanese live action film.

It's simple and not too dramatic or anything. Nothing to break your heart, no bursting-into-tears scenes or yelling in the mirror moments, but it had great, subtle, drama. I LOVED IT very much!.
