Last Movie You've Seen

Crokey

Please post more than just the title.

We don't need a War and Peace essay on the film, but at least give a couple of sentences of good and bad points and even throw in a rating if you want to, as long as you give some rationale.

Nice movie to see with friends and while being stoned (more enjoyable this way), has a GTA vibe to it also, 8.50/10

I watched Big Man on Campus. I saw this movie as a kid, and it always stuck in my mind, and completely forgot about it for years and years.

Its a 'modern day' (released in 1989) comedic retelling of the Hunchback of Notre Dame set on the Campus of University of California Los Angeles.

A 'hunchback' is discovered at UCLA when he swings out of nowhere to save a young girl and her boyfriend from being attacked at a renaissance fair. The hunchback is seemingly feral and does not speak any known language. After finding out that hes more intelligent than originally thought, he is allowed to stay at the university under the condition that the young man he saved stays with him to keep an eye on him and study him. Fun and hijinks ensue as Bob Maloogaloogaloogaloogalooga (what the hunchback names himself) navigates a world outside of his isolation.

I feel like this movie is ahead of its time by about five years.

What a great movie never gets old.

I've been lately watching a lot of Old Western Movies anything I could get my hands on with Billy The Kid. I even watched Patt Garrett And Billy The Kid which surprisingly was quite good for a movie made in 1973.

I could not get into Atomic Blonde for the life of me. It's John Wick just without Keanu and the only reason JW works is because Keanua and the chereography. Fantastic visuals though.

^ The ending awl makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

This wasn't a bad movie at all as the reviews make it out to be. I quite enjoyed it for what it was and I truly believe Peter Dinklage did an amazing job, was very convincing. The ending is very sad and makes you wonder, how the consequences and actions of others effects us all one way or the other.

Valerian and the city of a thousand planets

Pretty good film, the movie trailer did it no justice, some plagiarism with the alien life form's, I'll put it on my list of film's to re-watch every so often.

The Neighborhood

Terrible mobster film, very boring and slow, so bad I turned it off at the half way point.

Finally saw It (2017).

Not quite scary, but very creepy. Well done, well executed, and it was a good watch. Wife was terrified, though!

Nope! Probably the worst movie i've seen all year. Weak plot that was pretty hard to follow at times, confusing alien tech that didn't even make sense, bad acting/dialogues and possibly the two worst, emotionless main characters ever. Especially Valerian. Don't know what they were thinking casting that dude. And Cara acted as if she was on the runway throughout.

1/10 only for visuals.

Alien Covenant.

Didn't like it though, didn't feel like the Alien movies I grew accustomed to. Slow paced and at times plot confusing, Reaching and landing on new world felt much like Alien VS Predator all over again.

Especially, the scene with the dead infected hosts on the ground all the way to the landing zone.

i agree, all the trailers and ad's for it made it seem like a completely different type of movie than what it was. i was not expecting a special forces movie in space.

The Neighborhood

if your going to watch a straight to DVD mob movie, then i would recommend Brooklyn Rules, Kill The Irishman or This Thing of Ours. majority of the straight to Dvd movies are some of the worst, but those 3 are pretty good. Brooklyn Rules is probably the best of the 3. Alec Baldwin kills it in that movie.

Another movie I watched yesterday was Animal factory (2000) with Willem Dafoe. I highly recommend it if you having seen it, and you're into Drama/Prison film movies. I must admit it was an interesting watch and somewhat inspiring. It was surprising to see Danny Trejo [one of my favorite actors] in a film where he actually makes it through the entire movie without getting himself killed. Which is rare if you seen most of his movies.

A young man goes to prison and a tough, older convict takes him under his wing as a mentor.

Probably one of the most underrated horror films of the early 2000s. Not your typical "psycho picks off a group of teenagers one by one".

Just watched Disney's Pixar Coco & Disney's Olaf's Frozen Adventure.

I just don't get it. Why is Disney blamed for putting the Frozen short in front of Coco? It's just a short that is not actually a 'short'..(with 21-minutes, it's too long to be called 'short')

BTW, both movies offers a good musical experience. Although, the Olaf's one is the winner. I remember when it's my first time to watch Disney's Frozen, i made my mind to think it's a very boring princess movie, with prince and other things, but i have made a very wrong thinking. The movie(Frozen)is very,'suitable' to be called 'The Best Animated Movie Of All Time'.

And, for further information, Pixar's Coco had been given 9/10 ratings in 1MDb and 97% Rotten Tomatoes scores. I dunno,I just want to recommend this movie.

just watched Django Unchained for the 1238th time. Imo the best of Tarantino, even better than Pulp Fiction.

That movie terrified me as an adult. Seriously underrated. And it has a naked large breasted ghost.

As a big fan of The Departed Ive always wanted to see the film that inspired it and wow. Scorcese nailed it.

Has a bit of a Sleeping Dogs vibe going on too. Great film.:)
