evan122 Posted February 10, 2009 Share Posted February 10, 2009 First off...I apologize for posting twice (once in the other forum) I am sure this has been discussed, but i think my issue is a bit different. Needless to say everything worked perfectly fine until i updated the game. Then the dreaded controller problem. After many uninstalls, reinstalls, system restores etc. I have finally figured what the problem is. I read this link to make my Logitech Dual Action work: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=379477 The thing is....it did make it work to some extent, however as soon as a hit something or get this by something or fire a weapon...the game crashes. I get a message...Application crash..blah blah. The culprit that is faulting is XINPUT9_1_0.dll As soon as I remove those dlls (xbox360cemu.dll and xinput9_1_0.dll), the game works perfectly fine using the keyboard. I was never able to get commandline.txt with "-usedirectinput" or -usedirectinput to work. Plus i have absolutely no idea how to map the controller. I am very computer literate (Sys Engineer), however i dont know a lot about gaming and this sort of issues.
