ezcool
Have you guys got any locations for Zombrex? Or at least where to rack up money? I already restarted from 1200 kills to 500 back 2 times because i couldn't find that Zombrex. BTW, don't ask what is Zombrex if you haven't got the game yet. I got it yesterday. cold fusion 33
Get some money and buy some from a pawnshop lol, you won't find it just laying around on the floor!
mrpain
Oh hot damn! This game is shipping to my country on Wednesday and its my brothers birthday on that day! I'm gonna use that excuse to ask some cash from my parents to buy it as his present. Is the Co-Op online only or is there an offline option? I've been playing Resident Evil 5 lately with my brother just to get hype on this game! I hope there's no more clowns though.
meta187
If you liked Dead Rising, you should definately like this one. I think, like a lot of people, I initially disliked it because of the awkward save system and the sh*tty schedueling you have to coordinate to save everyone but I had about two weeks down time in between jobs and picked it up again after leaving it on my shelf for many months. The 2nd time around I made it my bitch and ended up really enjoying it. Do you still have to take photos? I'm kind of hoping that's been cut. ~ Studio: Q-13 Lounge / Q:13 Warrior Tunes / Interweb Chex Mix, yo.~

There's like save spots in the most convenient places in the mall. And how could you not like photo taking?!? That was my favourite thing to do in the first game. The only problem I had with the first game were the guns. Yeah sure you can pick up anything and use it as a weapon but I like the guns to have more BOOM to it. They handled the pistol very well but the other guns felt like they were lacking. I like the idea of making your own weapons. I would have always use the small chainsaws in the first game, glad to see they added more variety.
ezcool
Get some money and buy some from a pawnshop lol, you won't find it just laying around on the floor! Just did Case or Code blue for that, i can't rack up money that fast, and in pawn shops are stuff that cost 2 millions, but i barely could get 16k.. I heard rumours here's one under Atlantica Casino in underground, can't find it, because that place seems to be locked, all other underground places are open though. And i somehow believe here will be some Clowns at rollercoasters..
anuj
Preordered this today, which was kinda silly since it comes out tomorrow but I figured I'd might as well get a preorder bonus at Gamestop. I really wanted to play Case Zero but my xbox is FUBAR.

I really wanted to play Case Zero but my xbox is FUBAR. I really wanted to play Case Zero as well but that would be the last few XB points I have. Taking photos wasn't awful but it was kind of a hassle with everything else going on. Being that the main character isn't a photographer this go around I would expect something different to collect, as well. ~ Studio: Q-13 Lounge / Q:13 Warrior Tunes / Interweb Chex Mix, yo.~
Firefly8000
Just completed it + overtime last night. holy damn was that final boss hard. (good job i found a way to beat him easily ) the ending was just perfect and really set up the scene for Case: West.

kudoboi
just gonna ask a few Q's. does this game have free roam? can u drive a bunch of vehicles? eg: cars. and all of them have different designs? also is there a estimate of how many missions are there? also my last Q, is this game more EX than mafia 2 or gta 4 when it was first released? edit: is there a demo for it on pc? also i heard the pc version got delayed. ezcool
Yes, it has free roam, take everything you can from shops, wear women's clothes (seriously), combine weapons etc Yes, from small pink girl bike to big hummer. Here are around 25 missions called cases, they're like evolutioned missions from what you've seen in GTA IV or another similiar game and around 50 side quests. (at least that was the count in first game any ways) What do you mean by last question? And here is no demo, only prequels to Xbox360 which cost $5 Edit: Does someone this Case: Zero and Case: West will be for PC and PS3? At least PC has downloadable content in main menu. cold fusion 33
Case Zero and Case West are only for Xbox I'm afraid. What a massive shame. The downloadable content menu is for downloading more clothes I think. Edited September 29, 2010 by cold fusion
Freakorama
Come one, come all. I believe I am the first to find an out of map glitch in Dead Rising 2: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/9903527 Unfortunately so far I have been unable to recreate it. I managed to do it by standing on the sinks in the bathrooms and jumping to the wall of a locked stall which the other day resulted in me getting inside the stall but while I was streaming it to show my friend, Chuck just seemed to pop up out of the roof so I started recording. Try it for yourself, I believe most bathrooms have the same layout.

kudoboi
Figured out an easier way to do it: is the entire game map only 1 shopping centre? or is the game map as big as gta 4 or RDR or mafia2? or maybe even SA?

Freakorama
Its not a city or a mall, its a resort. And it isn't small when your main source of transportation is on foot.
Algonquin Assassin
I remember when I first heard about it. I thought it was going to take place in a portion of Las Vegas. I didn't know it was going to be in a resort. Still the map's quite big when you're mainly just running around. The first game's map was pretty big just for a mall. IMO

mrpain
Braaaaaaains!!!!! Got this game yesterday and have been kicking ass all over it since today. I must say my first impressions blew my mind! This is truly a great improvement from the original! Now prepare for the long-ass post about my first impressions: The first improvement I took notice was that I COULD FINALLY MOVE WHILE AIMING A f*ckING GUN! FINALLY! But I find it kind of lame that I could move while aiming a gun but I couldnt move while aiming an object! The plot didnt impressed me at first. I mean, three days for rescue? The military coming? Seriously, been there and done that. But once the first case begin and Chuck got framed, that was truly a plot twist for me. The pacing was superb. As for the new characters, I'm opening up to them alot. Well except for Sullivan, but I'm still early in the game. Chuck Green is an awesome dude and is trademark grin always make me laugh. Then there's his daughter, Katie who is just so CUTE! She has one of the best lines in the game, "Look Daddy, I've got a new power in MegaMan!" Then there's Rachel, the Asian news reporter. She's like the female version of Frank West! And she's f*cking hot! Now onto the psychopaths. I like how the replaced those yellow raincoats f*ckers from the first one to The Looters, at least they are fun to kill. The thing about the first game that truly stands out were the memorable psychopaths. There was the clown, the fat policewoman and who could forget Kent? Well good thing the sequel has another batch of psychopaths for Chuck to slaughter. So far I've only defeated two. The first guy was the CURE professor in the bathroom. He truly surprised me as being a tough son of a bitch. When I saw the cutscene, he was just holding a piece of glass. I was like, "Seriously, a piece of glass? He should be easy to kill." Next thing I know, he's whooping my ass from cubicle to cubicle. Took me three tries to kill him." The second psychopath was my favourite boss fight so far. Racing to the biker dude with a dirt bike through a heavily zombie crowded Fortune City Park was one of my key awesome moments in the game. Love the way how that guy died. What Chuck said made me laughed my ass off, "Yeah, you're on fire now!" Then there are the combo weapons. They are really clever and shocked me in many ways. For example, I was in the Maintanance Room and saw a Dynamite and a Fire Extingusher. So I thought, "Oh to heck with it, they can't even combine together." But they did combined together to form a properly epic Freeze Bomb! Can't wait to see other weapons I could build. Drill Bucket is kind of lame though. Overall, I just reached Case 2-1 and I'm already wowed by the game. Still miss photo taking though. Sob....

mrpain
Hah the Rock Heroes were my favourite group of survivors! Speaking of Rock, this game has the best piece of music fitted into one game! Wish I could replay the battle agaisnt the biker dude again, love that guitar riff when he died. Need help during the battle with the chef, any tips on how to finish him off? Freakorama
I pretty much just always use the defiler to kill any of the physcos. Spin hit them a few times and duck roll away then hit 'em a few more times.
