Just a link for anyone wanting to buy the collectors edition in the UK, I noticed just now Amazon have it cut to about £39 down from about £55. Get it while its hot.

Honestly, Amazon have always delivered the pre order games as long as you get yourself First Class delivery that is, but that's maybe just my luck. If you don't well don't expect it within the release date. I'd go with Game as well but my reward points aren't in my name and really, I can't say no to the cheapest price as long as the service is good.

I was thinking that before I went to bed last night, thank god it was today and not yesterday. Although I still hope I have at least 400 points left or I wont be getting it for awhile.

 

Edit - Downloading it now it was strange not seeing it on any of the news parts. Its under Arcade games though if you can't find it (like me)

Played it for an hour or so, all I have to say is sh*t f*cked me off to no extent when I needed to grab the sword(I already knew I needed it before I went to the 2 survivors but getting it was a f*cking ball ache, can't even remember the amount of times I fell off and wanted to kick the sh*t out of Chuck for his sh*tty ass jumping skills that being said, I haven't finished it but I'm liking the whole customizing weapons. Thank god I'm getting the game for an early birthday present.

Been playing it for about the same, an hour maybe. The only thing bothering me is the pause while saving and such. I almost thought it had crashed straight away when I first started it up. I still don't like the whole "do this before this time", but hey, it's fun. The sniper is a beast.

Haven't tried the sniper. I'm totally with you on the whole ''Do this before a certain time'' but I guess that's just Dead Rising for you. Hopefully they might have a free roam mode without the whole ''eat before X amount of time or your health will go down automatically'' Don't really like how long it takes to load up things either, like when you go in and out of the safe area.

My only gripe is that Chuck's speed stat never increases but its great fun nonetheless, FINALLY we have ragdoll.

I'm finding it fun so far, I never got into the first DR, but this is great just whacking zombies with wrenches and various other things, may end up getting DR2 at some point but it won't be day one for me. Just trying to figure out how you actually give Katey the damn Zombrex.

I got so pissed last night at this game. You know where you have to climb like a billion and one things to get the sword for the guys to follow you back to the safe house. Well I must of tried jumping the last straight part to the sword about a billion times, chucks jumping abilities f*cking suck balls. Eh I didn't know if I should of put that in spoilers or not but never mind. Anyway after getting what I want and only having 1 piece left of the motorcycle to get I was pretty damn happy. Got the last part, and gave Katey her Zombrex. sh*t obviously hits the fan in the game at that part. Stupid me never bothered to save after getting the second to last piece of the motorcycle, only to die. Yeah I threw a fit, I've not played it since. I'm pretty certain I'm going to get the full game though apart from that f*ck up the games really enjoyable. Loving how there's more access to guns and just generally better weapons than the first DR. The customizing to make new ones is awesome as well.

To be honest I've climbed up there a number of times and never failed a jump but his jumping seems a little weak. Needs more lunge.

 

I liked this, it was fun. I've put a good few hours in and now am looking forward to DR2 more than I was.

Don't ask me why the person goes a long way round. You can just jump out the side hotel window, then go back over the metal grate between the buildings, then drop down to where it is.

Cheers for the video. I'll try it out tomorrow, maybe its just me but Chuck would jump right from the edge of one thing and then for some reason would just not compute that there was a ledge or something else to land on and pretty much just stand motionless and slide off. Then fall, lose health oh and occasionally get eaten by zombies.

The developers said that Frank West isn't in Dead Rising 2 at all.

 

Nor is there probably going to be any mention of him.

 

I mean, we all figure that he got out because it's more than likely that Isabella made Zombrex.. but I don't know.

 

 

Also if you guys want to get the kill 1,000 zombies achievement easily just get to the point where you have to push the cart with the dirt bike in it and kill the zombies with the push cart. I ran around and it never breaks. I got the achievement in about 4 in-game hours. Wasn't that hard at all.

 

 

I just 200G'd the game tonight. I enjoyed it, but there is like.. NO STORY AT ALL.

 

It was supposed to bridge the gap between DR1 and DR2 but it really didn't. All there was is:

 

-Katey was bitten by her mom.

-There was an outbreak in Las Vegas.

-Chuck is a mild celebrity.

 

 

Woo. Hoo.

 

But I still loved it.

There were two things I didn't like about case zero.

 

1. The graphics. I think the game would look a lot better without the bloom. It reminded me of Saints Row 2. I went back and played the original Dead Rising and the color palette looked a lot better.

 

2. The dirtbike controls. From the handling to the crippling camera angle that did not allow me to look up to see what's ahead of me. I sure hope there isn't a lot of dirt-biking in Dead Rising 2.

 

Other than those two things, my other complaints are pretty minor and stem from the situation given for the demo.Fetch parts for the dirtbike, but you can only carry one at a time and Chuck drops them when hit.

 

I was on the fence about getting DR2, but after playing this, I'm leaning a little more towards a purchase.

Is it still so that people you meet, don't actually talk aloud in gameplay, they just talk with subtitles? That really bugged me in DR 1. Well, it did more than that actually, because I couldn't read what was being said, but hey. Hopefully they'll at least have fixed the font size of the subs in DR 2.

Yeah its still like that. You'd think they might of had enough money to throw at it this time to get voice actors for the job. But nope still going to try and kill zombies while trying to read the subtitles that seem to change way to fast for you to actually read any of it.
