Rebel
This item will be released on 25 Sep 2009 Thats from the UK Amazon site. So I'm presuming that the US will get it a couple days early like most releases.
Vanillainy
Hmm, I highly doubt that date. Nothing has been seen of the game other than a trailer and some screens. With Lost Planet 2 and Dead Rising 2 having been announced recently, it's not unreasonable to expect that they will be arriving on shelves next year. And Capcom, it seems, would agree with you. Speaking on Major Nelson's latest podcast (via D+Pad), Capcom USA communications director Chris Kramer seemed to confirm that the recently announced titles will both arrive in 2010. "Capcom's kind of on a 30 year high right now, it's a pretty amazing place to be. Between everything we've got going right now, between the launch of Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5, and our big titles for next year, Lost Planet 2 and Dead Rising 2," Kramer said. Just in case you were keeping your fingers crossed that Capcom would get them out in time for the holidays, there you go. Don't worry though, there will probably be no shortage of games to play this holiday season. There never is these days. Yeah
Rebel
Yeah odd that they said they'd release it in the fiscal year, which means it could be 09 or 10. But I highly doubt that Amazon would put up a game a whole year away for pre order. Then again I just saw Game have it up for the same release date. Soo I pre ordered it as a birthday gift to myself

Inky
Now that I'm getting my HDTV back I'm going to look into pre-ordering this game as soon as I can save up some cash. This game looks f*cking sick. I've been in the mood for some zombie smashing lately and Left 4 Dead just isn't cutting it anymore. I'm really looking forward to a sea of slow moving undead to hack through with chainsaws Also is there any news on what quarter of 2010 this will come out in yet? Eh not quite sure, but I still don't believe that its coming out in '10 yet, since nearly every online place I've been to that are selling the game all have it down for the 25th Sept 09. Xeon
It is likely just speculation from analysts, who we all know aren't the most accurate in their predictions. After a quick search the date popped up a few times, but only as speculation and nothing else. Until there is some official acknowledgement, don't count on it coming out this year. I recall before GTA IV was given an official release date there were many sites and stores pointing towards a March release. These are all estimates by the uninformed, until there is solid confirmation don't get your hopes up.

Still I wonder what the hell the 'Zombie rights' entails. Rights for zombies perhaps? Really though, I imagine it being a ruthless protest group akin to an animal rights group such as PETA. Perhaps a "faction" such as the cult in the original Dead Rising. It should make for a good story device and perhaps include some humorous parodies too. Freakorama
Four new short videos featuring some weapons http://kotaku.com/5368151/dead-rising-2-be...he-rake-shotgun Gameplay looks like it needs a little polish, the animation transitions seem a bit blocky, Still pretty cool though, some good weapon ideas there, I may have to steal them. Flat Face
Your 1st post sucks... THE DEAD WALK AGAIN AS CAPCOM CONFIRMS DEAD RISINGTM 2Sequel to 1.5 million-plus seller announced for multiple gaming platforms London – February 9, 2009 - Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today confirmed that Dead Rising™ 2 is in development for three different gaming platforms: the Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and Sony Computer Entertainment’s PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) and the PC. The sequel to the 1.5 million-plus selling Dead Rising™, Dead Rising 2 will take the franchise to a new level of zombie-killing fun with tens of thousands of zombies, the all new gambling paradise of Fortune City to explore and conquer plus a host of new in-game objects that can all be used as deadly weapons to stave off the zombie assault. Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the infamous zombie invasion of Willamette. Unfortunately, the zombie virus was not contained at the conclusion of Dead Rising, spreading unchecked throughout the United States and Dead Rising 2 depicts a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike. Dead Rising 2 is being developed in partnership with up and coming Canadian developer Blue Castle Games. A number of members from the original Dead Rising team will be working alongside Blue Castle Games throughout the development process, including Capcom’s global head of research and development, Keiji Inafune, who as the game’s Producer will play an active role in the project. Released in 2006, Dead Rising won praise across the globe for its mix of intense zombie action and dark humour, garnering numerous awards including IGN’s “Most Innovative Design for Xbox 360”, Gamespot’s “Best Action-Adventure Game” for 2006 and “Action Game of the Year” at the 2006 Spike TV Video Game Awards. Further details concerning the story and gameplay of Dead Rising 2 will be made available shortly. Vextroid
Thanks to X10 new screenies, videos and A RELEASE DATE! The game’s now been confirmed for an August 31 release in the US and a September 3 launch in Europe. DAY ONE purchase for me Source One Source Two Also the Chainsaw Paddles/Oars looks brutal and awesome. EDIT: Sorry for major bump. EDIT 2: Forgot this Dead Rising: CASE ZERO an exclusive download only on Xbox LIVE, will launch prior to the full game and provide a playable prologue that bridges the story between the two titles. This will be awesome but I feel that PS3 owners (and PC owners) who missed out on DR1 should get this as aswell as it would be a great way for them to catch up on some of the story/plot points. EDIT 7,254: Found a good source for the DLC Prologe. Source Three Edited February 12, 2010 by Vextroid
Rebel
f*cking ace about that DLC for a bridge between the 2. Will they actually keep it up on the marketplace after the titles been released? I hope so. Still I'm glad they finally put a release date on the game.
foohy
So is it pissing anyone else off that an integral part of the story is being made exclusive to the 360? I don't care that the 360 is getting exclusive content...I'm used to that. I just hate it when the content is something so important. It's like releasing a movie on DVD and Blu-Ray but only putting the ending on Blu-Ray. It makes no sense and it makes everyone involved seem d*ck-ish. Why not just make additional missions for the 360 that add on to the story like R* did with GTAIV? That's rather annoying too but I don't mind nearly as much because at least it doesn't ruin the game for owners of the other console/PC.
Vextroid
Sorry for MAJOR bump but The Case ZERO DLC Prologue has been priced and dated. August 31st 400MSP ($5US) That's surprisingly cheap for something that's been said is 5 hours(?) According to IGN its only 25 minutes long. long. papanesta
I like that statistics and items from what is essentially a Live arcade game rather than a demo, can be carried over to the main game. I think that's pretty cool. Just hoping after I've played it I'll definitely want the full game.
vinnygorgeous
Does anyone know about the co-creators fall out that resulted in one shooting the other and the living one ending up in Guantanamo, I can't find the E3 news story on it.

Rebel
I'd pre order now if I had enough money. Still I'm looking forward to the demo thing going out at the end of the month, its going to be a nice change from normal demos for me.
