Rebel
You might also want to try renting some games before you buy them encase you're not sure if you really will enjoy it.
Inky
It's old, but if you haven't played it, F.E.A.R. is a great game. Graphics may not be that good, but I thought the atmosphere was excellent.
Pat
Mirror's Edge isn't bad, but it's definitely a rent. It has nine storyline missions, and after that, all you have available is time trials on the missions previously mentioned. In all honesty, I regret buying it; I wish I would've just rented it for a week just to do the storyline. If you have Xbox LIVE, I would suggest Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: World at War. Both are fantastic games, and their online multiplayer is very addictive. I actually have COD 1,2,4, and 5 on my PC ( 3 is a piece of sh*t ) COD is just a lot better with a mouse IMO, and especially multiplayer being a lot more fast paced than 360. I rented quantom of solace and I think it sucks as much as the movie does I've heard nothing but good about Gears 2, so I will get that, as for mercs 2, myself being someone who played the sh*t out of the first one, I rented mercs 2 and beat it in 3:42 playtime, awful story and it just overall was a POS compared to mercs 1. I will rent mirrors I suppose, and crackdown looks very good to me, Halo I also haven't heard anything but good about so I will go for that also. Thanks for the tips! Pat
It was the same for me with Mercs 2. Only difference is, I thought it would be as good as the first and I bought it before renting it. Now, it's collecting dust, and I can't get more than five bucks for it anywhere.

What happened with Mercs 2 for me is I pre-ordered the PS2 version by accident meaning to preorder the 360 version, so I was able to get rid of Mercs 2 on ebay for 40 bucks, and I just rented the 360 copy, glad I did too. SaintJimmy
Ah, this is good that someone made this topic as I'm looking for games to buy. I bought Far Cry 2 and am NOT regretting it - I want to get WaW but that requires me to purchase a gold subscription... and don't have the funds to do it
Mand'alor
If you like your action/horror games you should give Deadspace a chance. It's a pretty cool game, frightens the hell out of me at some stages. Also, definitely get both Gears of War if you have not played them before. You won't regret it. SaintJimmy
Is GoWII an ideal choice if you've played+finished the first one? I heard it's not too different, besides 1 or 2 new gameplay features and a better storyline.

I heard it's not too different, besides 1 or 2 new gameplay features and a better storyline. Now this isn't really an informed opinion because I haven't played Gears 2, I played the first and thought it was ok. But a few of my mates absolutely loved the first Gears, couldn't get enough, they were obsessed with trying to get high ranks an dbeing the best etc. I expected not to hear from them for a few weeks come the release of Gears 2, but they were straight onto CoD4/WaW again within a week and a half, they said it was just too similar and what was different wasn't an improvment (concerning the multiplayer that is, apparently the campaign's pretty good). This was the same as happened to me going from Halo2 to Halo3. Just a word of Warning about Gears

SaintJimmy
Dead Rising. THIS! The amount of endings is awesome. I myself have traded it in a while back but might get it again soon.
Flat Face
Deadrising is the only thing that makes the 360 a positive thing.
blitsie
The man speaks the truth,Dead Rising is the type of game every 360 owner should have!
Machida
With the 360 I generally go for the exclusives. Get yourself a copy of Mass Effect if you haven't played it. Supposedly the second Mass Effect will be out late this year. Other than that Left 4 Dead and Orange Box especially, for value for money at least.
