zeppelincheetah Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 (edited) i've looked at several 100% check lists and they all conflict in two areas: random characters and doing stuff with friends. for random characters some guides say that you only have to do one mission with each random character(excluding the random characters that result from you making a choice in the story mode) while others say you have to do not just one mission with each but do all of their missions. so which one is it? as far as doing stuff with friends goes some guides say you have to beat each character at darts, bowling and/or pool while others say all you need to do is beat one of those once. which one is what you really have to do? I recently finished the game 100% and I know what it's like to be so close and at the same distant so far from 100%. About the random characters, it's easy: you must do all the missions for them. Some of them, like Badman, Hossan and Mel only have one encounter (so only one mission). However, some characters like Brian, Marnie, Eddie Low and others have 2 or more encounters, so 2 or more missions. You must do them all in order to complete the random characters task and get 5%. Check every place where they appear, you can had failed a second or third encounter with one of them. Also remember that Jeff, Cherise, Clarence and Ivan don't count for 100% completion, so you only need to meet 10 random characters, though there are actually 14. About the friends, it's also easy: you only need to take Brucie, Jacob and Packie to all the activities listed on the phone once. You don't need to win anything against them, just take them to every activity available (btw remember that only a good date counts... once I took Brucie to Burger Shot to eat and he didn't like, and that was causing my percentage to stuck on 98,33%... I took him to a fancy restaurant on Algonquin and it worked). You also need to win a full game of bowling, a game of pool and game of darts, but you can do it with a friend or not, your choice, it doesn't matter. Hope it helped. I also had that and didn't do all the activities with friends. I did the friends first and still had 99.5%. I thought I had done all the random characters missions. I've finished most of the game (on about 96%), but I'm reluctant to go the extra mile since I know beforehand I will never reach 100% Can someone actually confirm that failing the mission by letting her boyfriend escape does not count?
