Sernety
When I try to play Multiplayer in the LIVE section my computer just automaticly makes it's own Lobby, where I'm the host, and I'm the only one in the game :S So I'm wondering if anyone what may chase this problem? And know how to fix it? Thanks for listen

JeddyH
hmmmmmmmmmm.............if u give me a product key for the game..............i will try and tell u This is usually a port opening problem Open Ports UDP 88 UDP 3074 TCP 3074 On your router
jellydonuts
i have this same problem dude. I have opened ports 88 and 3074 on my router (even though I have no problem with people joining my lobby), and allowed social club + gta4 through my windows firewall. But the problem still persists! 3FaST
This happens if your NAT Type status shows "Strict" in GFWL, its in Settings > Network Info I think. I got myself WAN IP (DMZed) and it shows "Open" now and I can join any game. So either DMZ or try looking for other ports/options. (I got ISP hw firewall, so I don't care about ports )

(I got ISP hw firewall, so I don't care about ports ) is this in the ingame GFWLive? or the GFWLive on the desktop? *EDIT* nvm, it's in the ingame menu, I found it, mine says NAT Type "Open" but the problem is still 100% there Edited February 10, 2009 by jellydonuts
jellydonuts
***FIXED*** well sorta... turns out the game was using different ports. A 100% fix, unplug your router and connect your computer directly to the modem. This works flawlessly. If you cannot unplug your router (like me) because other people on the network using wireless, you have to allow a new port, 20322 through. This option is only 50/50. I have tested and this option only works on servers that are on Team Mafia Wars and Races. Team DM, CopsNCrooks, DM all don't work as before. So to recap, 100% fix that will let you play everything: Remove your router from the network. 50% fix that will let you play some modes/servers: Add port 20322 to the list Some Screenshots for you guys to help you out.
