I'm looking for suggestions, because I just don't know where to start. I need something that would have a ton of readily available information online. Practical material too, like price quotes, hotel reviews, that sort of thing. I'm not accustomed to traveling, so I've never done this on the internet, and most of the stuff I keep finding for places is historical and filled with crap I don't need. Nah, I tried to find things to go do when I was there, and I had no luck. I'm just kind of terrible at looking up events and stuff. I don't really live in a place that has stuff like that going on. Then if your research isn't too accurate nobody would know. Also you don't want to do something that's completely played out like the Great Wall because I guarantee you that at least six people will be doing that. Be creative, be original, keep it real. It's a lot safer and cheaper than New York, the city is much cleaner, the weather is much more accommodating. Big attractions are the obvious; Lombard St, Telegraph Hill, Coit Tower, Golden Gate Bridge, Fishermans Wharf, Pier 39, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Park, Chinatown. Yosemite park is only a couple hours away. And then you have smaller cultural attractions like: Haight-Ashbury, Mission District, Market Street, Japan Town Center, Castro (the gay district), City Light Publishing (where Allen Ginsberg was first published), The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and Little Italy. I'm not above cheating; it's a powerpoint class, why should I have to do a retarded research paper on "Where I want to go on vacation" to boot? Might as well stick me back in the 8th grade when I did all this the first time. Other than that Las Vegas or San Francisco sound like they should have enough readily available info.
