DeeperRed
Hi guys. Here is a topic for and about the BAFTA's for us to disscuss. The show begins at 8pm on BBC TWO the switches to BBC ONE at 9pm I just watch the Red Carpet show on BBC ONE and was highly embarrased by the "kids" question part What kind of question to ask Pennelope Cruz is "Whould you rather be an Antilope or a Celebrity". Anyway I think SlumDog to win all 10 its been nominated for because not only is it a great movie but low budget and the underdog Edited February 8, 2009 by DeeperRed

Well it's obvious she'd want to be an antilope... But yeah, I think Slumdog Millionaire will be the big winner of the night.

Andyzoot
I only saw the last 20 minutes of it. But was it me or did the cameraman have an obsession with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie?

Lets hope it pulls the same strings at the Oscars That's what doing three thing's at once does to you. Also, nice to see Stanton get some recognition, after he/Wall-E was robbed at the Annie's. Not because he is dead but because he did an amazing thing with the Joker. Looking at the other nominations I think Ledger deserved it alot more. I hate all the fuss over giving an award posthumously. It's nice just to see a movie based off a comic book get some recognition.

Kippers
Even if he was still alive, I would have expected Heath to win. He really made The Joker something else. I really did want Brad Pitt to win Best Actor. But oh well. Now in fitting tribute, The Dark Knight seems too have made its way onto my computer screen. 習うより慣れろ
DeeperRed
I really did want Brad Pitt to win Best Actor. But oh well. I did, until I saw the wrestler. Micky was astounding in it and fully deserved the BAFTA. Plus if Brad won, his speech won't have sh*t on Micky's
Ottae
Not surprised by Slumdog Millionaire's success, it was either that or The CC of BB that was going to win everything. I was surprised about Man on Wire beating Slumdog Millionaire though, f*cking awesome film. I was also surprised, and relieved that Mickey Rourke got Best Actor. Heath was always going to win because of his death, but I hope it was because of his performance more, and I hope he would have won it if he was still with us.
