warlordcs
i tried searching for a similar topic, but this sites search feature isnt very good... i finally got my gta working without having the missing textures by running it under windows 7, the only thing is it ran a little choppy, (kind of the same as running it with cache boost) but it still ran, and i was able to play for hours without my textures dissaparing. so i played thru the missions till i got to the second island, and i decided that running a quad processor and a quad 9800 im not exactly getting a good framerate, so i figured i would try xliveless since many were saying they got a large fps increase. so i put it on and played a new game as it doesnt recognize my saves. BUT after starting the game i was noticing that chunks of the city were not loading untill i got into them and sometimes not even then, so it seemed like ive gotten the leake again. so i immediatly got rid of the liveless file and tried playing again the old way and damnit my textures are gone there too does running xliveless change any other gamefiles?? GTA_XP
If Xliveless ruined your game, why the hell you uses it? It works amazing.
loczek47
Just like GTA_XP said, it works for me amazing too.
topeira
read the readme of the xlivelss to see why your saves seem to have disappeared. it's easily solvable. about the missing parts - cant help here.
GTA_XP
Missing objects meand trouble with your PC. Anything updated and latest driver installed? You have to keep updating your ass to avoid heavy missing objects/textures. Missing objects/textures is done by XliveLess.
Krailer
i tried searching for a similar topic, but this sites search feature isnt very good... ...or you could've posted in the XLiveLess release thread, since it's the best place place to post feedback, bug reports and everything else related with the application. ...so i figured i would try xliveless since many were saying they got a large fps increase. XLiveLess doesn't increase framerate, so whoever told you that was talking crap. According to the release topic, these are XLiveLess features: Main features:* complete replacement of the xlive.dll (original dll isn't required) * all online functions are disabled (to prevent cheating in multiplayer) * removed all anti-debugger checks * all game variables are made unprotected and can be accessed and changed by the trainers, control centers and other tools * in-built asi-loader (no need to replace original files) * asi-loader searches for .asi files in the root game folder and .asi and .dll in the 'plugins' folder Additional features for GTA IV version 1.0.1 and 1.0.2: * removed savefile check (you can load save file made by any offline XLive user) * removed files.txt check (integrated replacement of FileCheckFix and MagicPatch) * restored access to the system debugger in the critical error menu (removed loading of WER.dll) * enabled write access to memory in code and .rdata segments (no need to call VirtualProtect from a .asi) * disabled RGSC * moved 'savegames' folder You should be more considerate; making titles like "this app ruined my game" is not the way to show appreciation for the hard work programmers have been doing to help this community.
