.:Alex:.
We all know that GTA IV and TLAD will now have a menu at startup, where you select which game you wish to play. The part that's still a bit confusing is how you'll be able to switch between them at will during gameplay, through the "Game" submenu. Well the episodes aren't actually a new idea, as there was actually a system built in San Andreas for future "Mission Packs" to be implemented. Now this isn't a new find, I just thought I'd dig it up for those who don't know about it, and because this might give us (and especially the people who are still confused about it) an indication of how the loading system in TLAD will most likely work. Just replace "Mission Pack" with "Episode/The Lost and Damned" and "San Andreas" with "Grand Theft Auto IV" and you pretty much have it I guess. Knowing Rockstar, this was almost definitely a precursor to the new episodes. Interesting how they never got around to actually implementing the idea until now. It would be interesting to see if GTA IV has any similar references in it's files, which I have no doubt that it does. The current Mission Pack is not available. Dotseoem
Why not just start it straight from the HD. It's like ripping a game from the cd/dvd and playing it from the system.
Microhead
I pretty confident I read somewhere (can't remember though) that for you to start TLAD, you can simply select New Game from the pause menu and you choose between Niko or Johnny's story. So basically, if you quit then load the game up, it will enter the last save file you were playing in as it does usually, whether its Johnny or Niko. I assume that if its loading up TLAD, it will have different starting images. You then switch games by simply loading another save file. To me, it would seem odd to switch stories by the phone. EnchantedX360
I really liked mubd's mock up video from youtube. Source I heard that TLAD will definitely not be selected from the phone, so I thought it would be selected at start up. There it is. You can watch it in HD by watching it on youtube. What do you think?
