Spuds725 Posted February 8, 2009 Share Posted February 8, 2009 I notice, when I always join a GTA race people never host a free race, which is way more fun then following a dedicated route.It's just plain awesome, you can stop enemies from getting in cars, you can chose your own route....free race is so damn underrated Ditto--they are alot more interesting and it forces you to learn fast routes (the GPS sucks as it ignores the fastest routes at the expense of the shortest routes) but selecting a free race is almost a deathwish to get kicked if you are a host-- you would probably be ok if you start it as a free race (anyone that joins and doesn't want to do it could just leave) but if you get a game populated with road races and switch to any of the other race types, prepare to be Xed... Hydro_PT Posted February 9, 2009 Share Posted February 9, 2009 (edited) I feel the same... free races are amazing, but you can't simply host them or you are kicked or then you are left with 2 or 3 players that leave in the middle of the race. I really hate those "supercars only races" fanboys, I mean, if you don't like the game, LEAVE, don't kick the host. It's so damn annoying... The same goes for helicopter and boat races and cannonball runs. If somebody wants to do these, I play the PC version. GFWL ID: HydroPT Add me and we can host some free races and other types of races that don't include supercars or NRGs. This is another reason why I would prefer servers instead of lobbys. Just like MTA and SA-MP. A server dedicated to helicopter races only, another one dedicated to boat races, etc... then you could actually play what you like with people that like the same thing. There could even be scripts for certain types of races, like: only Zombie bikes for this one, only Sanchez for this one, you know... I get sick of racing with the NRG500... lol.
