Chewie
I bought GTA III last week. When I installed it, I can't play it on my user. I have to play it on my mom's account and she's the administrator. Why is this happening? Are their certain settings I have set wrong? I want to be able to play it on all users. Here's a picture of the error.....
chapapote
I can only think of two possible reasons: 1-Your mother doesn't want you to play violent games and she has blocked the game in your account. 2-The game was installed on the administrator account and therefore it can only be played there. Uninstall the game and install it again on your account, or maybe there's something which allows you to use it at all accounts, I don't know. Rhoda
There may be restrictions in place that don't allow any accounts other than the Administrator to run certain applications. Try looking in your preferences when you are logged in as an administrator and see if you can change your settings regarding running other programs in any other user account. Vinnie
The first time you run the game you have to run it as Admin (Right Click > Run As Administrator) so it can convert the textures to optimum format. As soon as it's done this exit the game and launch as your user and it will work.
