TheBruceter
AA is the reason i stopped playing for 5 month. What other shooter has AA? lol Its bloody pointless. Started playing online again the past week (made 150k so far woo hoo, 690k till level 9.. lol) but i think i'v only had 1 AA off match, in 1 bloody week To me vehicles are one of the main things in GTA, AA rips them right out of the game play. Let me put it this way for the people that love AA. Every respawn i get, i'm taking down at least 4 others, in a group, due to AA. Without, i may take out 1 or 2. Doubling you're kills ftw? Not really.. And yeah, the amount of high levels hosting and putting AA on is unbelivable. I would host my own games, but i really cba waiting on people entering lol
MrJohn666
That's why they're high levels. Look, high rank only matters to those who think high rank matters. I play free mode with AA off in my own settings every day and can hold my own against anyone in the right circumstances.
mylungsareburnin01
now that I have xbox I still normally play unranked matches just to have fun. I dont care how many kills I get as long as I am not last ( and I never am ) Host a match with rocket launchers and blips off and watch the hilarity unfold. ChristopherD
For whatever reason I have ridiculously good luck when it comes to the host leaving/being kicked and the room going to me. Me too! I mean EVERY time! The host leaves...I get the room. I used to think it was cuz of my rank 9 (you know, highest rank gets the room) but it happens everytime with my griefer account too! ...and I am staying away from the topic at hand...my opinion on the matter is ALL over this forum... SHUT THE f*ck UP AND START YOUR OWN GAME, DUMBASS BITCH! Oops. That one slipped out. I have Tourette Syndrome. I DO have Tourettes! STOP f*ckING YELLING AT ME YOU c*nt! Sorry...better go before my disability gets me kicked out of the forum. f*ckER
JJ Long
You could also say that auto aim makes the game more difficult. Granted Auto Aim takes less skill to kill, but it takes more skill to stay alive in a game with auto aim. Personally, I don't care whether it is on or off. I'll play either way. I mostly enjoy plowing over people with cars Just playing Devil's Advocate.

ScrewedYou
My take on AA on vs off is this. If you don't like it on, find a game with it off or host your own game and just be patient. It is somewhat difficult to find an AA off match sometimes, but it's not anywhere near impossible. I myself just enjoy playing the game, win or lose. I'm not one of those guys that has to win all the time with AA on and act like a god...and I'm not one of those guys that strives to dominate a AA off match then feel like he's a real man because he plays a video game well. Unless you're a professional gamer that pretty much makes a living off of being good at games then what in the flying fu*k are you crying about losing/getting owned/auto aim/etc for? Does it matter if you win? No. Does it matter if you lose? No. I can agree on two things. AA doesn't take a large amount of skill, it's rather knowing how to shoot and where to hit. The actual aiming skill has little do with it. Big difference in disallow, aiming now becomes something that takes a good amount of skill while still knowing how to shoot and where to hit. Cover sure is a lot more meaningful in AA on games. My biggest issue with playing a large amount of disallow games is that players go straight for cars and rocket launchers, along with grenades and shotguns. I played in a series of disallow deathmatches the other day and ended up leaving because it was just a massive lagfest from all the cars slamming into each other while rockets were shot into them. It turns your screen into a 2 or 3 FPS game which is all kinds of fun. If people are going to play disallow, I think they should have the sense to set it to something like smg's, or assualt rifles, pistols, etc...and maybe turn traffic off. But then you'll have whiners that want them on so they can do drive bys....which brings me to another point. If you want to claim it makes you more of a man or a better player to play without AA, but yet you want to do drive bys in the same match how do you justify that? A freakin drive by is probably one of the wussiest things there is. So with that being said I play more AA on games because most of my friends play them. I don't really care. I just want to play the game and I am not the most patient person either. Call me a noob, say I have no skill, say whatever you want to say. Your opinion on the matter doesn't matter to me. This AA bitching is like the bitching about griefers. Why can't you just deal with it and move on?

SuperJude™
Screwed, I think this is why a lot of people run disallow games at the Docks (minimal vehicles, 1 or 2 RPG spawns) and my fave the Prison (no vehicles unless you really want to get killed, only 2 RPG spawns on Powerful). The solution for many is weapons standard, which I personally dislike.

llCHARGERll
Last night I was chasing this guy, he was in a Turismo, me in some crappy car. He pulls over and starts to get out, at this point it becomes immediately apparent that he has no skill, because he needs to step out of the car to use his autoaim. I ram him and his car while getting a few bullets in and he gets crushed only to magically reappear beside my window and with one touch of autoaim he is aiming at my head and within half a second I am dead. There's no way a player with aa-off could get his bearings like that so quickly, and I just think it's so stupid people have to pull over and get out of their cars just to use auto-aim. There were several other occasions where I was driving and got killed way to easily, there's just no escaping it. @Grove - And okay auto-aim takes a tiny bit of skill to press the aim button and then lead it slightly in the direction of movement, or aim up for the head, wow so difficult... I just think it takes all the fun out of driving and doing drive-by's. Do they have auto-aim in COD? I dunno I've never played it but I've played a few other shooters and none of them ever have this stupid feature. I must admit there is a greater satisfaction in killing auto-aimers with manual aim. I turned off auto-aim in the settings so it's never on for me. Anyone out there who likes to play with aa-off, I'm on PS3 and my PSN is in my sig. Tonight I'll be busy getting served in the DTW Cup. i know what you mean. always happens and some noob comes out of his car with an m4 just to shoot me cauwe he cant kill when hes in car....... i usually kill em thought before they kill me

Rolf Harris
Auto-Aim sucks. I mean, what if you're a sniper? You're at a major disadvantage at medium to close range; being brought down by a matter of holding down two buttons. Infact, it's annoying to the extent inwhich I leave if it's on. Everyone picks bohan or something and then it becomes a match of who can run the most people over, lol. Yeah, I'm guilty of running a lot of those Bohan/Disallow levels. I think it's the perfectly sized map, myself. I also rather enjoy shooting people out of cars. If they persist, I generally blow them up with the RPG, otherwise I really like the practice of hitting moving vehicles. More often than not, I have an easier time killing people in cars without the auto aim. Sure it's good in close if some n00b is driving slow or trying to ram you, but when a car drives by, your AA lags while with it off (and sensitivity set to HIGH) it feels so much easier to get those make-them-think-twice-about-driving kills. Yeah, that would be helpful in a PROPER pre-multiplayer game lobby with wider options to join active games, good idea. However, it is part of the game and people are enjoying using it, so removing it from future GTAs would probably turn a lot of potential buyers off, something R* won't risk. Bearing with that in mind, I think we are stuck with it forever. I switched back to auto-aim after about a month with it off, last night, to help a friend NOOSE up. It was hell on Earth! I killed more cops after a few games of getting back into the swing of it, but the lock-on was irritating as hell. I like to focus on each target in a certain order, not have it chosen for me. Seriously, if you play with AA on, switch it off for a while, yes it will suck at first and yes your scores will drop until you get used to it, but once you learn to aim manually, you get far more satisfying kills. Then using AA again is horrible! Ditch it folks, trust me. If you don't want to affect your stats, create another user/account and practice with that.
