Rachinator
I recently bought a new processor and motherboard to replace my old ones. (Core 2 Duo 3ghz ) Anyhoo... when i first got IV i had the flickering shadow problem then with Patch 1 it went away. Ever since i played IV again on my new processor and motherboard ive gotten back the flickering. I re downloaded and installed both patches again and still no help. Any suggestions? juscal
Update your graphics card drivers. I had a flickering problem on my 4850 that was solved with a driver update.
Pixelated
HALP? Anyways, take note too that unless you have the shadow quality to it's highest setting (Very High) they will look crappy and flicker somewhat. Now I don't know the extent of how bad the problem is but that's definitely something I noticed. A driver update never hurts either.

Are you talking about shadows as in lightning effects that you see in all games? Or are you talking about those grainy shadows that are on top of the lightning? Those ugly ones that make your head hurt? I recommend disabling them, see my sig.
chngdman
WHat screen resolution do you have and what is your Shadows settings? (this is if you have "zfighting" issue (it's really just a shadow resolution issue))
