Chris1508
firstly is it a pirate? if you pirated dont deny it... buy the game if you want to play it...
Mahi
OK Liem94. First you shouldn't even play this game, if you are born '94. Second, you should try everything before you start whining and making new topics that already exist. And third, BUY THE f*ckING GAME! Only the pirated version has this problem. emcax24
you guys kill me with this pirate version bullsh*t. its not just the pirate version, all the pirate version does is remove the copy protection its not like its some special version of gta4 that doesnt work as well as the original one because its from the internet. secondly, you should just reboot your computer and try again because this happens to me too from time to time. the game crashes in the background but the graphics driver locks up and loops. just hit ctrl+alt+del and close gta4 then reboot and try again. too many idiots on this forum handing out useless bullsh*t. go lick some R* balls. Drag_Drift
Haha Ron cracks me up. Someone should make a sig for him saying "The calmest motherf*cker right up here." Anyways, I think OP is having those VSync problems. Install patch 2. Then before running the game, get into the graphics options and turn VSync off. JohnZS
I have noticed that GTA IV takes "forever" to load unless you turn off the v-sync, you used to have to use a commandline.txt parameter, -novblank or something, seeing as it was documented as a "known issue" with patch 1010 I was surprised to see this issue remained in 1020! I hate turning off the v-sync as I get bad tearing, (LCD doh!) but with having the v-Sync on it takes ages to load! So for now I turn it off.. only to turn it on ingame John

Let me enlighten you about this whole forum thing that you are a part of here...A forum is a community, a place where people talk, preferably in a mature manner(Me calling you an asshole, was just to prove a point). semie
OK Liem94. First you shouldn't even play this game, if you are born '94. Second, you should try everything before you start whining and making new topics that already exist. And third, BUY THE f*ckING GAME! Only the pirated version has this problem. Thats the biggest LOS mate, if you dont know what your talking about STFU, unless of course the game stores are now selling pirated copies of games on the release day...DH Before the second patch was released many poeple with legit versions were having this issue and I was one of them, it is actually on the Rockstar site way way down the bottom of a help page that the -novblank command fixes this issue, and yes I used it and it worked great, I would get stuck in a looping load screen over and over until I placed -novblank into the commandline.txt file, since then it hasnt occured once. I have updated to the second patch but left it in the commandline.txt file so I am not sure if the second patch does fix this issue or not although others have suggested it does. Sick of everyone thinking they are above someone else on this forum because they may no an answer or they are possibly older or really just because I think they really do think they are better than everyone else, have a little respect for others, help out if you can and share what you know or in most cases have learnt off someone else here to begin with. The OP didnt whine about anything and in his effort to try everything he posted a quistion, asd you will most likely find the original topic for this could be 100's of pages back with the amount of posts and topics that get started. So Liem94 dont worry about anyone who posts utter rubbish mate unfortunately these forums have become a haven for flamers, your best bet is to try and search for a topic and if nothing turns up fell FREE to make your own, because there is still a few people that will help you if they can. cheers semie
