loczek47
So...I will want to buy my car in 2011, and I want your suggestions. I like old muscle cars, but not too big. Also I want it cheap though, and I want my car to be cool (you know what I mean? I wanna hustle with sun glasses on) I was thinking about 1993 Ford Mustang GT 5.0, but I dunno is it easy to get trouble with this car. (I drive and then there's something wrong with my motor etc. ) Soo...Any suggestions?
Picolini
Well we don't know your max budget, and most of us don't know the cars and regular prices of them in your area, so it's hard to say... and the fact that it's 2 years from now makes it WAY too hard to give a good suggestion even with the above missing info. A lot of things can change in that time, so I doubt you'll get any good suggestions.
Quick Stop
What Picolini said, who knows you could win the lottery and then you can buy whatever you fancy

Quick Stop
A little advice though, start saving up now so when you come to get your car you have cashmoney to buy it, insure it etc so you dont have to worry about getting cash together. Quick Stop
I never had no money saved up for my car, it was a spur of the moment thing. ive spent £1000 in the past two weeks on the car, insurance and tax and i struggled to get the money together so its best to have some banked for when the time comes to buy it. BMW E32 seems realy cool and more strenght, but also 1993 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 looks cool. What you suggest, people?
Starion
We once had a e32 7 series, it was a lovely car, but would it make a good first car? No. Even though you could afford it, you'd have to prepare for pretty big servicing costs and the burden of having a car so goddamn big; they are pretty huge compared to a mustang. And you would have to pamper it much more than a mustang, the car will ask for your respect. Just get an 80's camaro instead of a mustang, it'd probably be cheaper too. mod it with Nitrous Oxide and chassis dyno.
Algonquin Assassin
If you have your heart set on a Mustang, then save up for one.

stretch.
Buy some cheap econo box for a year. Have you accounted for availability of parts? Lots of old cars are prone to rot, costs a lot to repair bodywork. and the Mustang LX's were fugly as sin. And if you write one off... well. okei
you live in poland and you want a mustang?? first you're gonna have to pay for import costs and then it will probably cost you double than if you bought it and lived in the us.
4 Bagger
The 1989 Dodge Challenger is a great and spacious muscle car. It isn't the cheapest option but yet again nothing else is these days.
Picolini
89 Challenger? Never seen one.... something tells me I probably don't want to.

Wasn't the last original challenger a 74? Do you mean charger? Anyways, I wonder if he's costed up spare parts, I wonder how much it'd cost if it drops a piston. rmmstnr
Just get an 80's camaro instead of a mustang, it'd probably be cheaper too. If you're getting a used car, you can't get much cheaper than a 3rd generation (83-92) Camaro or Firebird. Well, in the US anyway, don't know how they are elsewhere. Replacement and fix-up parts are everywhere and dirt cheap to boot, plus there's a huge aftermarket following if you wanna spice it up cheap. Fixing up a clunker is brain-dead easy too, rock-and-hammer stuff. They came with 4, 6, and 8 cylinder engines so you have plenty of options even before you venture into the aftermarket. I'd keep things simple and just get/keep it running first off though, it's easy to get in over your head when you modify a car that needs fixing. Good luck! And I'd stay away from that. Pretty sure they stopped the Charger in 1987 even, and it's a front wheel drive car... from Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth... from the 80s. No way I'd do it. Quick Stop
I was planning on driving my mums micra when i pass but now i have my golf i dont need to worry, my advice is get a lower litre hatchback or saloon that still has some power and then move onto a more erm prestige motor when you are more experienced. I have had my car for just over a month now and the other day i drove into a wall whilst trying to park, luckily i was going about 2 mph so it didnt do nothing but a slight scratch to the car but if i had of been driving a car that i had put alot of money into i would have been pretty pissed off. TL;DR buy something you wont kill yourself over if you have an accident.

The new Challenger is one of the best American cars in ages, I love them, I see them at the local dealer down the street as well as being driven around here. I'd say get yourself an 84-85 Eldorado and you'll see it maintain value, which is rare, but it's one thing I've noticed the past two decades trying to get one!
