i like coffee enemas
...? Niko Johnny Luis(Maybe/most likely) They all speak with very strong accents or ...You know what I mean. Johnny doesn't have an accent, but speaks in that "rare tone of voice" like he's a Wrestler or something. Now don't get me wrong, I'm from New York, so I'm used to hearing people talk funny(including Myself), but do you think R* did this on purpose to sort of take us out of the game? I knew they did this with Niko, to give us the experience of someone who was foreign, but is this now an inside joke? I always laughed when Luis said "I don't think this is such a good idea, Man." Then the (Deputy)Mayor gets shot. p.s. I also think Luis is a Columbian Immigrant who's been here(LC) longer than Niko. Luis is Dominican. Aaaaalso, it isn't the deputy mayor that gets killed. You're thinking of Bryce Dawkins but it was a randomer named Eugene Reaper that was killed during the bank heist. They look alike to me. I thought I saw him during a UL Paper cutscene. Who was That? Just an NCP with the same model as Eugene Reaper. You see the model about quite a lot in Algonquin. There's even a guy with the same looks on Love-Meet.net on the in-game computers. And no it definitely wasn't the deputy mayor that got shot during Three Leaf Clover. The deputy mayor is Bryce Dawkins, who we find out is having an affair with Bernie Crane LATER ON in the game. Also, during the Bernie Crane mission strand, he is also being blackmailed by Dimitri. Why would Dimitri be blackmailing a dead man? Not to mention the fact that we never once actually see Bryce in the story...
xrk
Johnny doesn't have an accent, Doesnt have an accent? sounded american to me. What an ***hole! Like, you were suggested to do one mission before another. But I see your point leelee.

Dotseoem
In that case, everyone does. Yea sort of but.. if you pronounce all the words they way they are supposed to be pronouced you'll sound english (jk ) No. For Example; An English Speaker would say "Chahlii", while an American would say "CharLee". Of Course, the name would be Written, Charley. ...He bit my Finger. (jk as well) Edited February 9, 2009 by Dotseoem
Mafioso86
I think Johnny sounds like a less educated Batman, that quiet and gravely, but still tough and pissed off sound... watch any of the Michael Keaton or Christian Bale Batman movies and you'll see what I mean. "I'M THE BADMAN. DON'T SWEAR TO GOD, SWEAR TO ME!" As far as his accent... it's slightly southern (as in southern US) which doesn't really make sense considering that he's supposed to be born in Alderney (Jersey) and people from Jersey don't talk like that. Less Educated? Then he must be the smartest person in the Club. What does that tell you about the rest of them? And Actually, Jersey(Alderney) is more "Country" than the city of New York, So...Country people and southern ppl have similar accents. At least in my opinion. At least in my opinion. ehhh... have you ever been to Jersey?? I mean like western Jersey is kinda mountainous and weird like parts of Pennsylvania... like Pittsburgh isn't really in the south but it's like one of the most redneck places I've ever been, so I get what you're saying. But in the parts of Jersey that Alderney is based on (urban and suburbs) people don't talk like that at all. The accent is almost identical to the New York accent.
