Waypoint stuck on my screen

I set a waypoint about 4 days ago and didn't notice that it stayed there after I reached my destination. So basically now it is in the middle of the second island and won't go away no matter what I do.

 

I can set another waypoint and GPS will calculate the route to the new point, but if I take a taxi it will take me to the old one. This is really pissing me off, because it is distracting, misleading and annoying.

 

I tried to set my new waypoint at exactly the same place with no luck.

 

Anyone know how to solve this?

I have heared about this issue but from what I know you can't fix it.

 

Did you put this spot on your map and then saved the game without removing it? I think that this may be the cause.

Probably yes, I marked a safehouse but went to another instead.

As I have said, there is currently no way to remove it. You just need to be aware and avoid them poping up later.

 

But when you will start a new game the old waypoint will be gone so at least that is a plus.
