Barciur Posted February 6, 2009 Share Posted February 6, 2009 Hi Today I was playing GTA SA and my territory got taken over.. however.. this is what i saw on the radar it's weird as it is neither purple nor green, just grey.. i didn't lose it according to stats (I held the same percentage before regaining control as I did afterwards) yet there were ballas on it, perhaps more ballas than on any other territory.. so my question is what the hell is that? You lose influence when you let another gang take over a territory and this happens when you do not go and defend the territory when it says "Your 'hood is under attack". If you leave it, you'll get a message saying: "You left the attack unchecked, you have lost influence". So, now it is kind of neutral territory and both gangs involved in the attack spawn there. You can get it back just as you normally would. Go and attack those Ballas standing there and, assuming you win, you'll regain that territory as GSF. Mafia do appear in the game (Doherty, once, Bayside Marina and northern LV strip) but they do not ever actually own a territory with colours like the other gangs. Grey is just a less influenced green. Is it possible that this territory eventually gets to be Ballas again? It might. I personally have never let another gang completely take over one of my territories, so i cant be sure, but if you leave it, they may attack again and if you leave it unchecked, it may go purple. Just like the triads have red territories. Oh well, I've never come across this "influence" thing before. For me it's always a strict "Keep it or lose it" situation. It seldom works on the PC version, though. It's more useful to those who have the Playstation version, if you have the PC version use this. I seem recall grey mafia territories appearing with the territory glitch. Just like the triads have red territories. What on hell are you talking about, man? Yeah I know these territories. when I played the game I took over every gang territory. but one of my own got always attacked by ballas and I didn't know why. at first I thought it's normal. finally after hours I saw ballas south of the club in los santos for the first time although I drove around this place several times. this area was some kind of gray on the map. after I had taken it over it became green and my other territory was never attacked again. Please tell me it isn't. das ist'n spielfehler, wenn du die playstation version hast. nimm dir ein flugzeug und fliege aus der karte raus. nach mindestens einer viertelstunde musst du das flugzeug abstürzen lassen. dann gibts neue gang gebiete auf der karte nach dem zufallsprinzip, aber ich würde es nicht speichern. kopiere lieber deinen speicherstand. You obviously glitched the game in order to get that pic (the territory glitch) so you can't use it as a proof. Anyway, the Triads don't have territories on Las Venturas and the Mafia any at all (although they should appear around the Caligula Casino and Whitewood Estates). The red territories is either a gang war or, most likely, purple and orange territories together (the red area is actually two territories, you can check it using a savegame editor). I'm only 100% sure that it works for Playstation (the guy who discovered the glitch had it) and it doesn't in PC (it doesn't work for me). But I've heard it does work for XBOX so try it. Everytime I try to do stuff on san andreas, and I see people do it soooo fricken easily on youtube and you guys saying it will work. What if it doesn't work for my xbox?
