A lot of officers think its ok to taser whenever, but it should be the second last resort. The amount of videos I've seen of unwarranted tazings is crazy, let's not forget "don't taze me bro" guy among others. The worst is probably in Vancouver when this polish immigrant was waiting around in the airport for a day and got really confused and frustrated, he didn't speak english, he starting going apesh*t, stacking chairs at the doors and stuff. RCMP officers arrived and he surrendered, they proceeded to tase him 3 or 4 times and he died. Note that generally the police will exaggerate how dangerous the suspect is until a video is released. Drunk people are stupid and often verbally abusive, but I don't think there is any need to bust them up unless they pose a clear and present danger to you or others. Not tazering just for being drunk. I would love to show significantly less tolerance for drunken idiots, but unfortunately we just lack the numbers and equipment to do so. People like you make me f*cking sick. f*ck the people who are out there patrolling your town, f*ck the people who are out there keeping your home safe, f*ck the people who stop terrorists, and other sh*theads from hurting others? Your a real piece of sh*t is all I will say. Your from England I see, so f*ck the people who were out there rescuing those on 7/7? You really need to grow up and stop letting f*cked up rap music influence your opinions. In response to the OP- You don't know what the guy could have done, but if the police really did what you say they did, then that's not proper protocol for any type of police officer no matter what country. If you see something like that happen again, call your local station ( not 911, call the actual precinct phone number ) and ask to speak to precinct captain or one of his direct subordinates and tell them what is going on outside, and I will guarantee those officers will be fried.
