AZAZEL
Yes, it'll be released on PC but after X360 release. Speculation. For the time being, it will only be released for Xbox. Whether or not it'll be released for the other platforms, once Microsoft is done milking it for all its worth, remains to be seen.

Gta Guy 108
remember that VCS was a PSP "exclusive" title for a time. Then a few months after being released, lo and behold, out it comes for PS2. When I first seen LCS for the PSP, I thought it was only going to be for the PSP, because sneaky little Rockstar said it would be exclusive, then it came out on the PS2. Flushed me for a good 300 dollars.

Yes, but it being brought to PC by fan modders will just not be as good as the pure version, there will be total flaws still. It will not be released on PC, the Rockstar producer for the GTA IV PC port stated himself that " It is an Xbox 360 exclusive "
chngdman
You can't say there will be flaws. If we use the assets that came with the lost and the damned, it will be the exact same game. And if you really think this will never end up on PSN, you are naive. Every game before this since GTA III has been a Sony exclusive and down the road it ended up on Xbox and PC. The same will be true of this. I'm not going to argue with you, I could give a sh*t less really, but for you to say it Won't is no different from me saying it Will, except I have past performance on my side, which amounts to rational, logical, sound thinking. Exclusive Never means Forever in Third Party Games, if you don't know that already and are just new to this stuff, and new to GTA and its "exclusive deals", you will know that when this content comes to PSN and possibly PC (it will come to PC either way - by modding - which will not have flaws, if the tools are there, it will be the same, except with the superior PC experience. Or by them giving it to us. If they want the money, they will sell it to us, because That will be the ONLY way they can stop us from porting it, which will be lots of sales they will miss if they force us to do so - and we will). They released on release-day on steam for a reason. Think about it, please. /end reality check. Edited February 7, 2009 by chngdman

chngdman
And what about the PSN then? And I don't think you have seen recent PC sales, either... Please update your post with my corrected post, or perhaps just knock it out of there since it's only one post up (just for clarity, mate ) And "porting" this content to the PC is not at all the same as "porting" the whole game - it is way easier than you think. Remember San Andreas Mission Packs? Those were a preview of what you see now. A lot of things in previous games were previews of now... Like flying from SA to Liberty. Just because they only used it once in SA and it only led to a small area, don't think that mission won't play a big role in the way you play these 3 GTAs, for example Edited February 7, 2009 by chngdman
Glumok
My two cents about that : About an official release on PC/PS3. Maybe it was true for "full new game" like the original "Grand Theft Auto III" series, or "Liberty City Story" (old map but "updated" a lot), that was a temporary exclusivity for the PlayStation, but then was released on other supports. But "The Lost and Damned" is an EPISODIC content, not a full game nor anything near. So, I don't think Rockstar will act the same way this time. It is not a full game, it is "just" an episodic content. And Micro$oft paid a lot for it, unlike Sony. I don't think Sony had put 50.000.000 $ for any GTA games to make it exclusive for Sony (PS2 and PSP). Even if they decides to make it available on PS3 for instance, they will not get 50.000.000 $ selling it. Not talking about PC version. Maybe I'm wrong, but... And, about an unofficial release (by modders), as far as I know, there is no way actually to decript a downloaded content from a Xbox 360. So there is actually no chance to get it to work on a PC (and don't even think on a PS3).
pinky
What I would find amusing is the fact that it states "Exclusively on Xbox Live", then the distribute it to the PC through this too. As anyone signing up for IV on the PC had to sign up through Xbox live anyway. Would be a legal way for them to release it on the PC at any time they liked, theoretically they could actually create an Xbox live shop for PS3 owners as well and sell it on that too. Same sort of way Konami sells us DLC for MGO. I would think that would be the way they would try it once they get enough Xbox sales out of it, this way they keep raking in the cash without third parties. Quit making more threads about the same questions. No one here can answer unless news was leaked, and it hasn't been made public. I think even magazine eds take some guesses in speculation. CharmingCharlie
Seriously did this topic really need bumping ? At the end of the day the DLC is exclusive to the 360 that may or may not change, till it does we might as well shut the hell up about it Jesus.
