Pandur
Description: This little texture modification let your cars become more dusty and dirty. Install: Use "Spark IV" or "Open IV" and browse to GTAFolder\pc\models\cdimages\vehicles.img and open vehshare.wtd Replace the orignial textures with that ones from the folder "moredirty". Dont forget to save! Done... PS: In the backup folder you find the original textures. Greetings, Pandur Edited March 24, 2009 by Pandur

leik oh em jeez!
Just looking at it, I thought it didn't look realistic, but at the same time, it did. I figured it out. The cars look like they've been driving in snow. It looks like the muddy ice that flies up from the tires. Pair it with the snow mod and take some screens, then give me some money so I can go buy IV on PC.
Pandur
Thanks for your comments! @ leik oh em jeez!: "Just looking at it, I thought it didn't look realistic, but at the same time, it did" -> Ok, your first sentence is weird... "I figured it out" -> Glad to hear that! "The cars look like they've been driving in snow. It looks like the muddy ice that flies up from the tires." -> Well, its not easy to find a good match of color and contrast to give it a dusty look. Surely its not perfect, but at least a nice try. And since there are a few people out there enjoying it, i think it was worth to share the download! "Pair it with the snow mod and take some screens..." -> maybe, but I am afraid its a too big download!! "...then give me some money so I can go buy IV on PC." -> You can keep the rest! Pandur
Haha, now there's actually a reason for the car washes. Yeah, that was the main reason for creating the mod! Car wash should be useful in my opinion!
Andrew
Fantasic! I spent about an hour driving around on the beachs and grass, only to find my car was nearly clean!! Was quite miffed. Pandur
@Gangsta Killa: Thx! I'm going to upload it to one of your mentioned servers and corrigate the link. Thanks for your advise! @=OG4life=: Yeah, give your carwash something to do!!!
Andrew
On gtagarage you create a mod then submit a files, then add screenshots or whatever. You can then link it to this topic. Then the screenshots and download code is handled for ya.
Pandur
@Gangsta Killa: Yup, got it, thx!!! Well, at the end this way is much more easier and comfortable then looking for unstable free hoster!!!
Andrew
Excellent STM is currently making improvements to gtarage to make it even easier to use. Although at the moment it makes moderating it a bastard. Currently got a back log of 110 mods to check through!
TheRealPcGamer
Great! I'll download it, oh and does the mod make ALL cars dirtier or random (some are clean and the others dirty, very dirty) Thanks
Pandur
@TheRealPcGamer: It is random, as before. So you have cars from clean to very dirty ingame. I just changed the texture of dirt, not the dirtlevel of cars.

NaidRaida
Z1000: Please do not bump three year old topics although they are nice. But they are also DEAD. Take a look at the posting dates. To your question: If a mod car supports dirt or not is depending on the car model. The car can have a dirt texture or not. So you have to test this on your own for each model. NaidRaida
It's depending on each situation if it makes sense to create new topics. If you have a thread that was well visited in the past a bump is still possible and nothing bad. In this case I would prefer no bump, it's way too old although the mod is still available. Basically if the OP (Original Poster) isn't active anymore I would never bump anything. Yeah, if the author is gone and the topic is dead, then I would think about creating a new topic. This is mostly the case with very old topics. Edited April 8, 2012 by NaidRaida
