OllieJW
Hi So, i bought GTA IV recently with the hope that it would work on my new laptop. It is a Toshiba Satallite Pro L300 1AI. http://uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/inn...hibaShop/false/ For those who dont like to click links: Intel 2x 2.0GHz 4096 MB RAM (800mhz) 160 GB HD Graphics adapter: Mobile Intel GMA4500M. Up to 1340 MB total avalible with 3 GB system memory. Memory type: shared. So, after installing the game, it runs fine, but only at 3.5 to 4.5 FPS My problem is that GTA IV only recognises 124 MB of graphics memory. Quite below the min spec for the game. So i install the patch, and hope that it might have a fix for it, but now i get GTA IV FATAL ERROR: TEXP70 Unable to create depth render target - Please reinstall DirectX and/or install the latest video card driver. Neither of these could be true, as i know i have been all over looking for the latest directX and have already checked the video card driver. The only way i can get around this problem is to uninstall GTA IV and reinstall it without the patch. Now i appricate that my graphics card isnt up to the min spec, but since it pulls as much RAM as it needs, i dont see why it wont give me a mildly decent FPS. Ive been trying to find a program that will force more VRAM but i cant seem to find one.
