Haha. We`ve seen Muller in a couple of clips before, the guy who's playing him is on my facebook.

The gameworld looks enormous in some of those shots, especially the waiter one.

Putting aside the undoubtedly awesome gameplay for a moment, I simply can't wait to board my trusty steed and gallop through the countryside. The land looks awesome, and I'm lookin forward to marveling at it from atop a horse.

I'll be pre-ordering soon too darth, given up hope of a CE being announced until about a month after release if Bioshock 2 is anything to go by (also Take Two)

Yeah, I was really hoping there would be a collector's edition. I haven't gotten one since Halo 2, and that was just a sh*tty metal case and a bonus disc with some boring extras.

I guess I'll just get the CE Splinter Cell Conviction.

I don't understand the stuff in Collector's Edition. Will everything be included in it? Like the War Horse, Golden Guns and all that preorder stuff? Please explain.

I'm not sure if the new gameplay video is about multiplayer. There's no indication heading to there. "Life in the West" title for me is just like another introduction about the game's environment & setting. I love that, I want to know more about life in the West in that era biggrin.gif

Nice shot of the fortress batik, that must be the one from the previews and trailer that sits on top of a mesa. I`m thinking that will be one of the multiplayer maps, they changed their maps to much smaller ones in BOGT, so I'm assuming they'll have some close-quarters locations in RDR especially with that big-ass gameworld.

You'll probably be right there. But I think something like FM in RDR is what I'm really looking forwards to. I don't think there won't be anything to do though. I mean, the prospect of Role play and things, plus if you get clans on multiplayer, then I'm sure that holding down the fort will be quite interesting. So the way I see it, multiplayer is only limited by the imagination of the players.

Free mode is also the most anticipated aspect of multiplayer for me as well. GTA IV's free mode is a blast, almost limitless possibilities. With the size of this map, it will be unbelievable. Please let us have the ability to turn off blips R*!!!!

Freemode is my most anticipated as well. I've never cared for objective based multiplayer.

Can't tell you how stoked I am to see the news of Tuesday's video. Can't wait.

@ II J0SePh X II: Yeah, agree that they'll have some smaller maps similar to TBOGT, but hope there'll have a variety of sizes. Don't mind a big map every so often. Looking forward to using the full map in freemode too.

@ Diesel311: Really hope they include the option to turn off blips too. Whenever I get to host a match (in modes other then freemode), I always set to off, team, or at least far. Way more exciting and fun to stalk other players, or be suprised by someone running around the corner and blasting you in the face.

Snake Without a Tongue

If they had trouble fitting sixteen players in GTA I fear about limitations in RDR multiplayer.

Likewise, I hope they do put in an option to turn the blips too off. But I also hope they include all the gameplay functionality as well. I think it would actually be really cool to be able to attach an NPC to the back of your horse in FM and then have some people try to stick a throwing knife in them while running on horseback. As a multiplayer gamemode, I think they may have some form of 'Big Game Hunter' where the objective is not to kill other players, but to find the most animal hides and then at the end the one with the most amount (resulting in the most cash) is obviously the winner, you can either go for the big game (such as bears) or stick to the smaller but more plentiful animals (rabbits/birds etc.). And if not, then big game hunting in FM would still be an awesome idea! If they put it in that is.

As to multiplayer modes, if they base it on GTA4 I speculate it will be like this:

Deathmatch - Same idea, small maps, etc.

Team Deathmatch - As above, but teams

Car Jack City - In RDR it will be based on criminals on Wanted posters rather than cars

Team Car Jack City - As above, but teams

Bomb da Base - Similar idea, you take control of a set of C4 and attempt to blow up a fort/some other high level base

Deal Breaker - I don't think they will have this, but instead they will have a team game where 1 team takes control of a train, the train must make it from point A to B, while the other team attempts to destroy it, if you die you either respawn on the trian or on horseback depending on your team

Race - Horse race through an area

GTA Race - Horse race, with guns. However I imagine that there will probably only be one version of this, with the host being able to turn weapons on or off

Turf War - Same idea as in GTA 4, just different areas

Cops and crooks - I don't think they will have thi either, given the setting the only places the 'robbers' could escepe to would be the border, this mode would be too similar to the 'deal breaker' (if it were done that way) and so might not be on. Or if deal breaker wasn't on, then it would probably be done so that a gang attempts to go from A to B on horseback with loot, any of the gang dies, the loot goes with them (as they're on a horse, so the money would be on the horse I imagine). So I'm not sure.

Free Mode - The same as in GTA 4

Unless they're planning DLCs and include other game modes there, I think something like:

Lone Outlaw Similar to the Lone biker in TLAD - One bandit attempts to escape from mercenaries/sheriffs on his back, the idea is for the bandit to stay alive for the longest time possible, the one who kills the bandit becomes the bandit

Would be a nice addition to the list of multiplayer games. That said, in free mode, I would love to see a train and the ability to ride/control the train be an option. It would open up a whole new set of RP and FM game possibilities as well, which would be awesome. However at this point I guess nothing other than speculation can be done.

I also hope they include some form of 'lobby' system as well, and not the same thing as they had in GTA4. It is one of the most irritating things I find in GTA4, to leave a FM and then immediately be cast back into single player (more often than not, to 'the cousins bellic' after the update, but I digress...) afterwards. I also wonder what character customisation will be like as well. No doubt they will have many clothes options like they had for GTA, but I can't help but wonder what the overall outcome will be other than unique (to the degree that someone else chooses the same set). Still, it poses an interesting idea, zombies in RDR anyone?

As I said before though, I'm sure it'll be very interesting regardless of what they choose and I honestly can't wait to get roam the open world that is RDR online and single player.

I really hope theres decent customization line.

Depending on how lively the online is I could end up spending all my time in Free Mode.

The forum in your sig isn't clickable.

Dan Houser did hint at competitive elements in FM during RDR week at IGN. I don't go on it myself much - I don't see the point other than playing with the toys R* gave you or a bit of online socialising. I do like its drop in/out nature though, and I do like what they did with the parachutes in BOGT.

It's a shame modes like CJC and MW don't have the same drop in ability, the lobby and scoring system lets them down and makes them unpopular. If they put the mechanics of those modes into FM and made it a persistent world where you could just drop in and get your fill and drop out again it would be a riot.

I've been hoping for some persistent world modes for RDR ever since I heard about it, modes with a variety of objectives linked to Social Club leader boards and containing muc of the single player elements such as:

THE HUNTERS: includes bounty hunting, treasure hunting and big game hunting. 16 players at a time doing the various hunting elements and racking up money. They could incorporate the inventory and economy so that you have to take your stuff to the traders before you get killed and looted to get paid. The morality system could also be brought in so that any douchbaggery gets a bounty put on your head that the other players can hunt for.

THE ROAD AGENTS: includes robbable banks, trains, stagecoaches and NPCs. A much more renegade mode where your wanted level increases and NPCs start coming after you. Use team work to take on the bigger jobs. Bury your loot in specific treasure locations to get your score, but watch out for the bears, mountain lions and team mates who want to betray you.

THE BRAWLERS: includes Poker, Whores, Drunkenness, Five Finger Fillet and Fist fights. Lose all the money you gained in the other two modes. Weapons are automatically holstered when you walk into a saloon so you can't just shoot up the poker game, but you can challenge someone to a duel outside which they have to accept or pay you a fee.

As long as they put in some anti boosting measures< I could have fun in those

Blap about Mp.

How about R* made up something new?

DM, TDM and Freemode are only ones they should keep in my opnion.

I think the Multiplayer will be different from GTA. Houser said they're really working on it and that they're still learning from their experience with GTA. This says one of two things to me: One, they're fine tuning GTA's multiplayer for RDR or two, they're going in a different direction and trying something new.

Totally agree, and I think we will probably get a mixture of both. It would be cool if they could build on the thing they did with BASE jumping in TBOGT free mode.

Seems like there might be a slight possibility that Red Dead Redemption may be coming to the PC :-

http://rockstarhq.multiplayernetwork.net/news/1936/

There is a link to a mag scan in that article which states that this game will be on the 360, PS3 and PC. I personally don't believe it myself and think it is probably a typo or some journalist not doing his job as per usual.
