Too each, their own. It's easy to get attached to characters that they can identify with, even if the story is super short.

stop trying to make a point dude...FPV doesn NOT ruin immersion, FACT! I'd argue to the contrary really, that it increases the experience and what not but whatever, this is seemingly getting us nowhere, unfortunately.

now, RDR is a unique game to me for 3 reasons...and the game being TP doesn't mean anything in regards to those.

 

a) it's a western genre game (I LOVE western)

b) it has bullet-time (I LOVE that sh*t so much)

c) it's a "no happy ending" story (I HATE that good prevails over evil bullsh*t, gimme REAL drama)

 

that being said...could you just stop being so stubborn about...nothing?! RDR has an epic story, agreed. and you could have achieved the excitement of it, the thrilling experience or whatever, just as much if not even more, if it was a FP game.

FPV shouldn't even be a debate anyway. At most it'll be an optional thing as it is in V HD.

I bet the next Red Dead game will have either a Gold Rush or Oregon Trail type of theme and it won't have John Martson in it. GTA games always take place in different cities with different characters and I don't know why people think future RDR games will have John Martson in them.

Its wonderful to see so much excitement and enthusiasm for the Red Dead series, and nearly 5 years after Red Dead Redemptions release(!). As weve mentioned when asked in the past about new games in other series such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and L.A. Noire, we dont always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we wont get to them eventually. We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing. We thank longtime fans such as yourselves as always for your amazing support and please stay tuned in 2015 for announcements of whats to come from Rockstar Games.

Really hope they continue the series, though RDR will be hard to beat, and because of the "dying west" theme the games must go backwards.

It's interesting to see Rockstar answering questions about a new Red Dead once in a while. It's like they've already announced it, but not officially. I expect an announcement in the first half of 2015, be it a new Red Dead or another game.

I'm hoping for a more alpine type setting for the next Red Dead. They made really nice forests in V and RDR but they were just lacking in size. I like the sense of being lost when all you can see are trees and a semi-blocked out sky. Steep mountains covered with thick trees and rivers running through the valleys spotted with little towns throughout would be perfect.

 

Dual protagonists with a native and an immigrant would be interesting and would be a perfect reason to implement bows and arrows. Bows + Euphoria would be amazing
