actually I'm on RDR most of the nights. still many ppl in gang matches. I'm hooked to undead overrun lately, its addictive. highest record for an undead kill chain of 53

Christ... after all these years RDR is still the best out there.

the only thing I want to wish now is to see RDR on PC. seriously, R* can port GTA V, Max Payne 4, Bully 2,... or whatever for PC, but without RDR I wouldn't give a sh*t about their games on PC. it's not like everyday we can have an open world Western game with excellent quality.

Didn't Red Dead Redemption cost a lot of money to produce? It took a really long time for them to develop it and everything, they didn't expect it to do well either and didn't expect to make a large profit. I heard that the team in San Diego that developed it disbanded after they were done with RDR. There's also the fact that they were using an engine and specific tools for the consoles, on top of that, GTA IV was an example that a port would be a bad idea. Also, San Diego never ports their games. I think they've only ported one game to the PC, and that was years and years ago.

 

As much as I would love to play through it again on the PC, I don't think we're ever getting a port.

Even if San Diego is no longer around, I'm sure R* North would have no problem creating a sequel, or prequel. But whether they will do it, is another story.

What's this talk about San Diego not being around, check your facts, that's where the RAGE Engine was built, after RDR they helped out on Max Payne 3, and presumably now helping out on GTA V, especially since they already did a load of research into LA for Midnight Club LA and what with them only being in the city across from it!

Yeah, it was Rockstar Vancouver that closed, not San Diego. However, I doubt they're helping with V. Rockstar North don't tend to collaborate with other studios on their own developments, they help out the other studios.

Had quite a lot of fun last night playing co-op missions with two other people. Didn't take me much time to find other players. Got a few trophies too. I trolled one of the players in a mission when he wouldn't let me drive the coach. I shot him once accidentally but immediately revived him. He kept pissing me off so I shot him once more and left him there to die. He kept voting to kick me but fortunately the other player didn't vote.

Haha, I didn't mean to sound like a prick. It's just only my last game of RDR on multiplayer, after not playing for ages, this guy does that in co-op. Wasting my time.

Just got done playing through the story for the second time. Still remains my favorite game, to date.

This is a game that i go back to every year and play through the story. The feel of the game from the music to the setting to the characters etc just encapsulate what i imagine the wild west would of been like for outlaws. This is easily in my top 5 fav games of all time if not top three. I find it hard that there will by a wild west type game that will beat this one in the near future.

When I look at the Single Player menu, Undead Nightmare is under Red Dead Redemption.

When I try to access it, it says I need a R* code.

But I don't have one.

Every single piece of DLC comes on the disc, plus you can play on Normal or Hardcore in the Single Player. Hanrdcore is just so damn challenging... PICK THAT sh*t UP!

 

And yes, it comes with Undead Nightmare. For Xbox 360, Undead Nightmare is on a separate disc. For PS3, everything is on one disc.

I had a whopper Red Dead session last night. I put it down for a couple of weeks only to pick it up last night after smoking some herb and much deliberation on whether to play RDR or another game.

 

I plugged my Sennheisers in to my TV. The headphone RDR experience is amazing. You can really pick up on all the ambience that's not so apparent when using normal TV speakers for audio. We all know TV speakers in general are absolutely sh*te. If you guys have good headphones, plug them in and ramp up the volume nicely but not too much. There's a headphone option in the audio settings as well. Of course, laying on my bed, baked, taking in all the sights and sounds was mind blowing.

 

No game amazes me the way Red Dead does time after time, visually. I played for about 2 hours and only got one stranger mission done. I helped a few people in need as I went on. The rest of my time, I spent hunting. I only really opened up Mexico last time I was playing. So i'm going to try hunting there again as it's been so long.

 

After I watched a bit of 3:10 to Yuma which looks like Rockstar took heavey inspiration from. Even the bar in the town looks like it's on the same corner of town as the one in Armadillo.

 

Next thing to try on my list is to rob some banks. I want to keep my honor up so I'll do it sneaky-sneaky.

I think John Marston is my favorite fictional character. He's just so awesome and self-critizing. His lines are so true and, at times, hilarious. It may sound stupid, but he's kind of like me when it comes to personality. I just don't kill people.
