Can people stop talking about Django Unchained?

I'm not allowed to watch it and this doesn't help! angry.gif  angry.gif  angry.gif  angry.gif  angry.gif

Why? Are you too young to see it in the cinema?

Yes.

I love RDR though. smile.gif

If your too young to see Django, you shouldn't be playing Red Dead.

lol Why are people talking about movies in here?

Haven't played RDR in a LONG time. But I think if I did I'd remember a few things. Because I got that type of memory cool.gif

If you guys looked at the last page, you'd see that after watching Django, it's inspired many people to pick up and play RDR again.

So, I'm taking my time with my second play through. Been playing a lot of poker as I really want to learn as my friends have big poker games. They're amazing. Lots of smoking of the good stuff, beer and lots of banter. Anyway, I just played the best game of poker I've ever done in RDR. I finally beat the computer and cleared everyone out. The sheriff seems to the the best every time at the McFarlane ranch. I'm so happy with myself. I've only opened the option to start West Dickens' story and I've got close to $1,000. biggrin.gif

One question. You know the side-mission that the guy looking to acquire land to look for water..did you kill the man after you bought the deeds to get your cash back? The mission-giver mentions the guy has a son in Blackwater. Will this have an effect? I hope so. Also, if you didn't kill him is there any other reward apart from not losing some honor?

Miami, Zancudo, I was a little sceptical about the film before I seen it and man, it's fantastic. Highly entertaining with the right amount of clever dialogue, over-the-top violence that looks like something you'd see in Red Dead, when it comes to blood-spray and splatter. There's some fantastic horse scenes in it too.

Even my mate that doesn't like RDR that much was like, dayum, I wanna play that game now.

I've got it on my USB drive ready to watch. ph34r.gif

Nope, the only "effect" is the son avenging his father's death (which is obvious). Although, if you kill (or hogtie him) and loot him (the father, that is), you're able to use te house as a place to rest. You can also kill McAllister (mission giver) and take the deed.

Nope, that's the rating board's logic. You don't have to sneak into a gaming store to play a video-game, your parents can do it for you and in his case they clearly bought him the game since he'd have been about twelve, maybe eleven when the game came out.

Red Dead Auto

I was thinking of that too, depicting New Austin (and neighbors) in 1920. It would be a hybrid of GTA and RDR.

Maybe not so much the twenties as the early thirties, y'know to leave a substantial time difference between the two game's settings.

Though it sounds like a great idea seeing the true death of the west as Red Dead Redemption only really depicted it in its dying throws this could be a fantastic tale of an ever changing world. It'd definitely be cool to see the technologies advancing over time in a R* game, for example horses and carts slowly being phased out in favour of the automobile, and streets gradually becoming powered more by electricity then fire.

I'd expect Grand Theft Auto V to mirror the idea of this quite well, as it'll hopefully give me both the great sense of both scale and exploration that RDR gave me and all the abilities that V's setting and technology offers me. Jesus this is sounding ike a fantastic game, I wonder if Rockstar would actually consider making it .... probably not.

*Sigh*.

Red Dead really isn't that bad, it should've been 15+

Anyway, I'm about to be 14 and I'm really mature for my age. smile.gif

@Lightning Strike

I just got it on PS3 a while ago. icon14.gif

Who, Omen ? He seems as mature as any fourteen to fifteen year-old you're likely to find on this forum.

I haven't seen him act immaturely, so unless you guys have proof he sounds like a perfectly mature guy to me.

He and LazyboyEight are mature to me, when I first saw their posts I thought they was older so I don't see how they are immature.

Original Light

I'm guessing that a PC port is never going to happen now?

Just imagine how beautiful this game could have looked on the PC, when it already looks stunning on consoles. It's a damn shame they didn't port it, hopefully they will with the sequel.

No, a PC port will never happen and I for one think that's a good thing. The game was built for consoles in mind and it'd never have been as good as people would've expected if a port were to be released, it's special because of that and people need to stop complaining about it not releasing for a system that it wasn't designed for.

In real life, I'm a completely different person.

Now can we please get back on topic?

Seriously, papanesta, stop attacking me.

You always had it in for me. Just leave me alone. angry.gif

Been to Django Unchained. What can I say? It's amazing! It's been too long since I came out from the cinema with such satisfaction.
