The Multiplayer doesn't work on my PS3.

It says "You need to be signed into Playstation Network to access the Online game play features." But I am signed into Playstation Network. I've tried signing in and out but that doesn't work.

I have Automatic Login on if it makes a difference. sad.gif

I've started playing this again recently fun game but harder than I remembered the first time.

 

Anyways, I'm wondering how many bounty missions there are in a specific area. I'm working out of the McFarland ranch and wanted to know how many I have left before moving on to Armadillo.

 

Speeking of Herbert Moon: He'll be getting some Armadillo justice for sure! Ha! He says that every time I get a thief. funny character.

Hey, I'm going through this game for the first time so I've not read anything in this thread because I'm afraid of spoilers (I know how it ends though). I just beat Fort Mercer and am wondering how much of the game I have left in terms of story missions.

Got a question.

 

I currently have been doing the bounty trophy, and i got up to 4000 out of 5000 needed with Marston, and i have the last mission left to do before the switch to Jack, so does Jack retain John's bounty, or will i have to go from 0 again?

Something akward occurred as I arrived to the Thieves' Landing settlement.

 

I came to the town, hitched my horse and soon after that I heard a gun shooting somewhere nearby. I instantly thought that the bandit's could have attacked someone, but later it turned out that it was a local town folk shooting at some poor old man, who escaped into the woods eventually. I didn't bother right away as I made my way towards the tailor to buy some new fancy wear.

 

I thought they just might had a regular fight and one of them got so angry he brought out the guns to scare the other away. A plain western conflict. But as I approached the doors of the tailor's, I heard a gun shooting again. I came out into the streets to see what's happening but I couldn't make out on the situation because it was too far away. I had to get closer to it. I called my horse by a whistle. It didn't came up to me. Suddenly, a note came out informing me that my horse is dead now!

 

I sprinted to the harness. My dead horse's body lied on the ground. Next to it, the guy with a gun was standing. I observed him a little longer to see what he's up to. He messed around a little bit, walked like nothing ever happened. Then, abruptly, he came to the doors of some saloon, he covered by the wall and started shooting everybody that was in through the opened entry!

 

And what's even more akward, when I shot him down so he wouldn't do any harm to no one, the game credited it is a crime and suddenly everyone was shooting ME.

 

In some sense or other, it felt like a situation from a real life.

Take me back to the time where a building full of women burnt down with them inside it! No, that's too late for the Wild West. The Industrial Revolution was mostly going on in or around the Midwest and East Coast in the 1910-20's.

When I first thought of a sequel the title 'Red Dead Reckoning' sprang to mind & I've seen other people say it. It's still the best so far but it depends on where they go with the story.

Do you guys think a new Red Dead is coming out after GTA V?

I sure hope so. Either that or a new L.A. Noire sequel, or something else.

 

If any of you guys are looking for a game sort of like Red Dead Redemption, but in a different time period, I'd recommend Assassin's Creed III. The game borrows many aspects from RDR, such as hunting, open world, side quests, gang hideouts (in the form as military forts), etc... Something to hold you until GTA V or a new Red Dead arrive if you haven't picked it up yet. I'd personally say the game is similar to Red Dead Redemption, except it takes place before the wild west days (1700s, American Revolution), it has more of a serious tone (in other words, less comedy), and less memorable characters. But still a great game. The developers even admitted that they looked at RDR for some mechanics and ideas.

Rockstar only published L.A. Noire and gave some pointers on the open-world aspect. They didn't really do much.

 

Red Dead Redemption wasn't that long ago, and we just got Max Payne 3. If anything we're due for a new Bully or Manhunt title.
