I play my PS3 sitting just 4ft away. It isn't that close right? My TV is 24 or 25 inch. Don't know for sure.

 

@Ferocious Banger: Try changing the display ratio settings of the PS3. It made the screen a little more bigger.

I used to have the exact same problem, never found a solution until I upgraded too. Certainly is worth the money if you can rustle it up. I managed to save up for about 3 months when I was 14/15, and it was totally worth it. It's not something that needs upgrading frequently either.

I just got RDR too, signed up for Social club right after played a few single player missions. Fantastic game!! Jumped into multiplayer after a little while and instantly was gunned down by another player. It was so exciting

Sign up for the Social Club when you are playing RDR to get the Gentleman's Outfit. It looks cool imo.

I probably won't be using that outfit until I reach one of those big towns and play some cards, looks too out of place IMO where I currently am, at the Macfarlane's. I'd really like to unlock that hunting outfit or legend of the west outfit but I'd assume they'd take a while to get.

I had a wee go at the multiplayer yesterday. It's a little random, I'm never sure what I'm supposed to be doing in free roam. But anyway I got invited into a posse and went to where there was a shoot out going on with another posse. I stood far away on a hill with the sniper rifle and took a couple of shots at this dude. He ran behind a tree but I followed him and guessed his position behind the leaves. BOOM. Killed him. Oh so sweet. It's times like that that I wish the game had a kill cam.

 

It's still the most visually stunning game on this generation of consoles.

and only when you've unlocked at least mexico (You can glitch to blackwater at any time)

The assault on fort mercer? I don't think Auto Aim helps at all with the machinegun part.

 

I've been there though - SA the "reuniting the families" i think gave me problems on the ps2 - I FINALLY did it any my (then 3 year old) Neice came in, tripped on the wire and pulled the power cable out.

I actually finished ut on the first attempt after the power-cut! It's slightly more easier than I thought.

I know how you feel bro. Same here in my country. I know the loadshedding timings in my area and I turn it off before. But I hate it when the power goes off unscheduled. Only solution for it is to get UPS. That way you can save the game and turn it off even after the power goes off.

 

 

Also I finally got a HDTV. But I don't have a HDMI cable right now. RDR still looks great now that I can read the font properly while sitting on my bed.

Regarding the dynamic missions I saw one for the first time ever in 3 yrs of playing, several playthrough (where I always put off missions)

 

A lawman had a prisoner hogtied on the ground and was aiming a gun at them and wanted my help.

 

Gotta love the dynamite guys especially when they blow themselves up
